like he didn't make adjustments first time against his fringe contender.

Not getting sparked by journey men is normally a measure as is the surrender of the world HW titles to a novice without a whimper in your backyard. How about that for a criteria.

Gee, your right, the only other ATG I can think of off hand that is true for is Sonny Liston. I guess if so few ATG's have that kind of history, he's not much of an ATG.

But then again, the only other ATG I can think of who has more championship wins than him is Joe Louis.

I guess the latter fact is more important to one's status as an ATG, so maybe Wlad is a great, after all:think

Maybe a measure for you, but not me.

    My top 10 ATG

    Robinson - never sparked
    Whitaker - never sparked
    Jones - been sparked
    Leonard - been sparked
    Duran - been sparked
    Armstrong - been sparked
    Pep - been sparked
    Charles - been sparked
    Ali - never sparked
    Jofre - never sparked

All of these also lost a title fight.

So no I can't abide by your criteria I'm afraid.

With that in mind I conclude Wlad is still within my top 15 therefore is a great. Maybe not in your eyes but thankfully I don't love my life vicariously through your ranking criteria :good

Just as well Ali was not sparked by 'journey man' Cooper or he would not be on any atg lists.

Apologies if I'm repeating someone but I just never was impressed with him. That fearful safety first vibe has always been just beneath the surface, and really he's very basic as far as his punch selection. I feel like I have literally seen entire fights where he has not thrown a body shot

Ok lets change it a little.

Every serious sport that is still played today.

Something like gladiator games could have the greatest athletes in roman times

Please explain how a gladiator would be unfit to box a fight for 36 minutes?

Are you aware that boxing existed in Roman times and instead of foam gloves , they wore gloves made of metal?

Technology does everything for men nowadays. The survivalist of the fittest gene pool is being diluted away to nothing.
Strong genes are being mixed with weak genes.

The times you speak about go against the very point you tried to argue.

you calling undisputed ATG HW champion at 20 fights, including one ATG and one HoFer, a novice?

since when is the undisputed hw champion described as a novice? outside planet K, I mean.

Only on planet moron can such idiotic arguments be made with a straight face. He wasn't undisputed champion when he challenged Liston, you need to work on your understanding of chronology. Before the title fight, Ali was completely unproven, his best wins being a shot ATG at a different weight, and a fringe contender whose sole claim to fame was that he kd'd Ali. Meanwhile, "novice" Fury was older than "novice" Ali, and had more fights against better comp.

Serious sport. Not counting sports that dosent greate interest enough to get top athletes to compete in it.

Ok tell me examples of sports where there were better performances in 30ths or 40ths?

Something with stats hopefully. If there is some it is very small percentage

Please explain what the he ll you are talking about.

My point was that sport like gladiator games are not competed anymore so naturally goat gladiator are from ancient times.

I didnt say anything about gladiators not having stamina to box 36 minutes.

Btw boxing 36 minutes in real fight, while keeping your activity levels up is not some easy feat to accomplish. It needs complete different stamina that for example running does. Just saying because you make it sound so easy
