And well done to them for all that.

I only asked for some clarification.

Oh, and doing good deeds on the left, doesn't excuse whatever you may be doing on the right.

Solis got 1.4 million EURO = $2 million. Povetkin got a $2 million guaranteed cut out of the purse bid. If you adjust Vitali's $1.4 million from 2003 for inflation @ 4% annualized you get $1.9 million in today's Dollars.

All in all the differences aren't too big are they?

It appears to me if you're a mandatory challenger you get a decent payday vs. the K brothers. In line with what foreign, unknown challengers were paid by previous incumbent belt holders.

Absolute total bull****.... We are in a 5 star hotel in Austria.... You want to see where the
sparing partners stay... Look at Stanglwirt.co

Great hotel, great food, great place

They are full of **** about slave contract... Povetkn was to get over 2 million as a mandate and there was a rematch clause like ALL champions put in.......

They are talking out of there asses

Just stop claiming the Ruiz PPV did 750k. Why do you keep doing over and over again even if you can't verify the number when called on it? :think

I especially liked the post where Jack wrote that he's been called as a 'traitor' because he's neutral/pro Wlad views. Funny ****.

I believe Sky demanded the same thing for Haye as they did for Khan; fight a big name or no PPV.

This I suspect is the actual truth.

Solis and Povetkin were mandatorys entitled to 30% of the cut, Vitali was a mandatory challenger in a voluntary challenge, entitled to only what he was offered.

You've backed my point. A voluntary defence against Lewis (lower than 30%) you get just as much as a mandatory vs K2. I'm sure there are a couple of exceptions (Adamek, Haye) but those are understandable.

Well you say Vitali - Lewis was a voluntary defense. I don't agree, it wasn't. The WBC wouldn't sanction this fight unless it was against Vitali. Lewis was slated to fight Johnson for the IBO belt; the WBC belt wasn't even supposed to be on the line vs. Johnson. Ever heard of a voluntary defense where the sanction body only allows one possible opponent?!

Universum and Vitali sued the WBC in Dec 2002 in order to enforce their mandatory position.

The X% rule only applies if there was a purse bid. In this case there wasn't. Both parties agreed to a set figure in order to avoid a purse bid. Just like there was no purse bid in Vitali - Solis and Vitali - Gomez although both were mandatories.

You're confusing fulfilling a mandatory obligation of the sanctioning body with a purse bid. They don't always occur together.

"It is horrible. They put you in a crap bedsit bla bla bla"

Look up what Barrett had to say about Gaye and his handlers and all the dirty tricks they were playing on him after he arrived in UK, like fixing it so that the hotel wouldn't let him in and he couldn't sleep the night before the fight.
