    Ali actually faced the best competition available on a consistent basis. A guy's going to get decked, probably even take a loss or two when he does that.

    I, personally rank Robinson above Ali, but Wlad is 100% correct that the GOAT is not Mayweather.

    As far as pure boxing ability Mayweather may not rank above Whitaker and ranks far below Pea resume wise. Nobody considers Pea in the GOAT discussion.

    Ali nearly got knocked out by a British champion in Henry cooper I'm sorry no way Ali isn't even close to being the greatest for me ! IMO he's not even the greatest heavyweight to live

    For me, Ali is the GOAT. It is not just about P4P or H2H, it is just about what he did and his story as much as his skills in the ring. For me, Ali is the greatest athlete of the last century.

    He says "Ali is the greatest" when responding to "Who would win, you or Ali?" No mention of Floyd whatsoever.

    This thread was designed to put diehard Floyd fans against Wlad when the reality is most people who appreciate Floyd's style in the ring have every reason to appreciate Wlad.
