Wladimir Klitshcko vs Rocky Marciano

With Wlad´s vilnerable chin and body, his panic attacks when getting pressured on one hand and Marciano´s endless stamina, pressure, power and aggressiveness I can´t think of anything but a KO for Marciano.
Interestingly Wlad´s very good at fighting tall, while Marciano is very good at fighting small. Would be interesting to see.

 

im not a marciano fan. but i actually believe rocky would take this by KO

Rock would give him the beatdown like he did that Brit version of Klit, Cockell. The precedent was set.

 

Its extremely difficult for me not to favor Wladimir Klitschko in this match up.

The Rock was always a tough customer but smart money's is on Wlad. By TKO.

Could Rocky take Wlad's righthand if he landed it?

 

Klitschko by unanimous decision probably.
He'd just use his reach on the outside and he'd use his weight and strength to smother Marciano on the inside.
It wouldn't be a glorious victory by any means, but it would be a "W".

 

I'd be more comfortable with if fantasy bout was either:

210lb Marciano vs 244lb Wlad in this era.
or
185lb Marciano vs 220lb Wlad in Rocky's era.

In those instances, I'd confidently pick Marciano by KO.

Regarding 185lb Marciano vs 244lb Wlad, i'm not quite sure about anybody weighing 60lbs less than Wlad beating him & i'm certainly not one of those morons fixated by size.
Afterall i'm convinced that Tyson & Liston are big enough to beat any superheavyweight.

 

I dont think Wlad really fights tall at all.
He fights with his feet wide apart and his legs bent, his upper back rounded, his face forward. He sacrifices a lot of his height with that stance.

 

True, but Vitali definitely fights tall. Wlad just has excellent reaction time with his jab and right. He has very fast hands for a big man, but only in a couple different punch configurations.

Rocky Marciano by very savage KO - I can only see a very painful and very shocking end for Vlad here - there are leagues between these two in terms of true greatness IMO - Marciano would show a lot of people up here too
