Barely was because the match went to a 10th round. Real thing was that Ribalta was unreasonably skinny 211 lb, although the length was 6'6 (indicated link, before the match). The real bone ..

Marciano has some middling success very early on before the big Ukrainian turns his face into mush with that ramrod jab. As Rocky gets more busted-up Wlad starts to drop in right crosses and the occassional uppercut. This slaughter gets stopped between the 7th and 8th rounds with the brave Rocky's face a crimson mask.

    Klitschko TKO 7

If ex-Middleweight Archie Moore can put RM on the canvas, Wlad can KO him.

Ribalta was incredibly well conditioned in that fight, and a 19 year old Tyson beat the **** out of him, contrary to your claim, that it was close.... Give it up... You may know some things about boxing, but not about this fight...

-Seamus was using the Cockell fight to bash 50s heavies and turned tail at the sight of facts

-Hegrant.......I have no idea. I evidently proved a point that is his alone to understand.

I guess I was right, you really can't argue Toney over Cockell..., what better fighters did he fight or defeat than Marshall, Tommy Farr, Harry Matthews, Roland Starza, Rocky Maricano, and Nino Valdez? Samuel Peter, Rahman, shot to **** Holyfield, and Ruiz? I really want to hear your argument. Spare me no paragraph, let your knowledge pour in rivers of enlightenment!!! We are all counting on you, please save us from our unfound Rocco love. Only you can do it! Don't let us down!

Turned tail, my ass. Cockell was an embarrassment. Worse is beanpole Harry Matthews being pawned off as a true heavy... ohhh he's 6 foot 4! A giant! A colossus!... who weighs 170.

The tedium of argumentation wherein some propose these tiny, flabby weak fighters are anything near what would pass for a heavy in today's era is unbearable.

Two words: steroid era. Tall guys classically have a lot harder time filling their frames out than shorter guys.

More naturalistic tall man physique, basketball player...

-I answered your question regarding a modern top 10 fighter of Cockell's porportion. You have not responded. Your being ridiculious, I never said Cockell was a true heavy or even great, but I certainly think he would get a Heavyweight title shot in the current division, especially with the great match makers he had in the 50s and Wlad having to chase anyone who is willing to get in the ring with him.

    - Matthews weighed 179 against Marciano and over 180 for most of the 50s. However manager Jack Hurley kept him ranked as a light heavy because he was trying to lure Sugar Ray Robinson into a super fight.

Hurley had bigger ideas, however, and set his eyes on trying to earn Matthews a shot at the Heavyweight title, claiming that Matthews couldn't make the Light Heavyweight limit anymore. This was despite the fact that [url]
