Bottom line is Haye can get out of the mando easy by having Chagaev tested for Hep B. WBA isn't going to force a fight where one figher has Hep B and Haye's team knows it.

I believe 100% that if Setanta hadn't gone under Haye-Wlad would have already happened.

 

Depends on how you judge your personal ATG list. My factors include quality of opposition, dominance, impact on sport, number of title defenses, overall longevity.

If Wlad remains unbeaten from hereon he easily has to be ranked among the top 12 according to my factors. Your personal factors may be different.

I am going a step further. (Outside of the UK), the perception of Wlad's ATG standing won't be influenced much by beating Haye -- if Haye retires on the spot like he promised. Because then on paper Haye will just be another random HW beltholder who got overwhelmed by Wlad. Just like Chagaev or Ibragimov who after being beaten either retired or have imploded performance wise.

Haye is diminishing the value of his own scalp by his ridiculous retirement announcement.

 

I doubt that this kind of scenario would've been taken in to notice before Setanta.. Of course the contracts are very tight but who would've even thought of possible bankruptcy of major television company.

Also if the contracts would've been as solid as we like to think Haye would've had to deliver medical documents of the injury to KMG. I didn't ever get a feeling that KMG was about to sue Haye or anything..

What Bönte is pissed off about IMO is not so much the Setanta fiasco but the fact that Haye ran off to Sauerland - K2's arch enemy - while in talks with Vitali and then talk **** about "greedy contracts".

There's one rule in business: Don't **** in the garden of those you may want to do business with in the future. Booth never understood that.

Again I repeat there was no need to talk to the Chagaev camp or involve him at all because the Klitschko fight was going to be signed.

Secondly, what do organisations do when the mandatory challenger can't fight? That's right, install the next availible challenger to the mandatory position with dates still set.

Whether it's Chagaev or the next availible opponent in the WBA rankings the mandatory status must still be fufiled.

 

Let's hope that his very possible second MMA bout goes better against Rampage Jackson. Christ..

 

Opposition level is paramount for me and in that sense he is most definetly in the top 3 of Wlads opponents, not fighting will hurt Wlad.

Haye must be viewed ahead of Ibra or Chagaev due to his dominance at CW and undefeated HW reign even if weak.

Put it like this, Bowe being missing from Lewis's legacy hurts both. But if it was Lewis who ducked Bowe those of us who rate Lewis in the top 5 HW's all time would be facing arguments constantly that he should be ranked lower for not facing his biggest threat and rightly so. But since it was Bowe who refused Lewis in a way it helps Lewis's ranking. I feel the same applies to Wlad even though I don't believe it's a duck, just a stupid move to 'prove a point', he'll be hurt by this for years to come.

 

True, just seemed to be a lot of moaning going on but no real threat of a lawsuit.

So with that knowledge why does Wlad call Haye a little ***** constantly? Why call him out saying the Klitschko brothers are going to teach him a lesson then when the opportunity rises basically back out? To teach Haye a lesson? Even when they're dying to "teach Haye a lesson"?

 

If that's the case why make the video calling out Haye? Afterall that video was made after pulling out from 2 fights?

You say "talk ****" about greedy contracts, but I'm sure you've seen my thread on K2 and the hassle they have negotiating with opponents, maybe there's some merit to it?

The Klitschkos talk constantly about wanting the other belt to complete their collection and lets face it money wise Haye won't be far off what he'd make against a lesser opponent due to the larger % he'd recieve.

So is it really that big of a kick in the teeth? Personally I think they've cut off the nose to spite the face.

 

Well, we know that back injury is hard to diagnose and easy to claim. After all it first was hand injury and later turned to be the back. Maybe KMG didn't wan't to go through pointless lawyer hassle.

Funny Too i just hope Toney has worked harder and learned a lesson because his last outing was a how the Humiliation and a commercial flip n **** by cherry picking a wrestler with a boxer for the benifit of making boxing look inferior to mma(more importantly the Ufc)
