Povetkin is looking for a new reason to dodge Wlad, it's quite obvious. Atlas probably wants him to fight half a dozen more bums for some "final polishing" LOL

Wladimir gave the ball to Povetkin twice and both times Povetkin chose not to fight him.

Why should Wladimir as a champion, give in to a mandatory that's ducked and dodged him several times?

Atlas is just trying to milk the cash cow because he knows once Povetkin is in there with one of the K. Brothers it's over

What doesn't this make sense? Would you accept demands of a mandatory challenger that imposes rules and regulations upon you, the champion while you prepare?

Of course you wouldn't. Povetkin is the IBF's mandatory so if he has a problem with their rules then he should take his plea to the IBF, not to Wlad.

if fights are getting prevented because of drugs tests, then eventually the commission is going to have to do something about it, so that excuse can't be used. these random tests will become a part of boxing.

First, no commission will ever implement a RBT regime . . . because of the cost involved.

Second, I agree that PBF demands have set a precedent, and that is not a bad thing. A lot of the major changes in boxing has taken place in negotiations between 2 fighters. I also thought that it would set a precedent but I personally think that it is a good thing because it would help clean up the sport and help boxing's reputation.

Third, I think all big money fights should go through these test. if one side wants it they should pay for it.

Finally, I am a fan of both Pacs and PBFs and on one level do not want them to fight because I do not one of them to lose. BUT, Manny is the one who walked away from the fight and came out looking weak especially after PBF agree to all of his demands from without a blink of the eye.

Not to make excuses but he really gassed terribly vs Brewter in a fight he had in the bag and lost due to exaustion I doubt this guy wants to do anything that could take away from a perfromance. He did gas twice Brewster and Purrity. Many reasons to say no dont know if he is cheating or not.

Why would Floyd want out of the Pac fight, that's what makes this ridiculas, the dude has beaten fighters that were as great of a threat as Manny in the given time and place: Corrales, Castillo, Mosley, Marquez, DLH, Hatton I mean to act as if Manny is so far above these guys is not being realistic. I'm not saying that Manny couldn't beat them, I'm simply saying he's not really anymore of a risk than these guys were at the time PBF met them. Obviously Pac beat Marquez, DLH, and Hatton and I acknowledge that, but prior to Floyd fighting them they were all deemed threats, Corrales was a threat, Castillo was a threat, Mosley was a threat. Manny would be threat but it's not as if Floyd hasn't been on this stage before facing great fighters in huge fights.

Unneeded expenses for one. Second... I don't think that too many people understand exactly how mental boxing is. People don't like being distracted from their training for anything. Especially some stupid random drug tests that can pop up any day during training and screw up your program. At this level, you have to have extreme focus. You also have to be comfortable and in the right state of mind. I can really see it screwing with some fighters minds if they have days of training ruined, cut short, or simply annoyed by having to stop and give drug tests all the damn time.

All of this on top of the fact that it is a blatant slap across the face for a fighter to demand or request that his opponent take these sorts of tests. Why would a fighter (especially the fighter who is in dominant position) allow another fighter to disrespect him in that manner?

Wlad has never failed a drug test, even when he had already gone through Olympic style testing for the Olympics in which he won the gold. There is no reason or cause for this nonsense.

What you fail to include in this post is that Wlad was on the same team as Vitali and was given the same random drug test that Vitali was given and PASSED. What does Vitali's past have to do with anything? My brother was a drug addict... and I haven't touched a drug in my life. Anyways... it is rather old news that Vitali still had some medical steroids in his system that was prescribed to him by a doctor for an injury. It's a rather common practice. Even if you choose not to believe that... it still has nothing to do with Wlad currently... or then obviously since he passed the same test at the same time.

Man why is it when a guy asks for drug testing he is trying to get out of a fight? Honestly, all the other guy has to do is say, "Yeah I'll take the test." and then you have a fight. Basically what you idiots are doing is trying to call someone a ***** for not wanting to fight a guy whose on steriods...that's just rediculous.
