I just don't get it. -- A fighter loses by regularly gassing out. -- He magically stops gassing out. -- Then he refuses RANDOM drug testing. It does not take a rocket scientist to put two and two together!
Wladimir has not even released a statement on this. The article that everyone has been reading is from Vitali. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
This. Actually, I don't think he would request that because he is probably the one on roids. He is so built since moving to heavyweight that it almost looks like he has titties.
Don't you get it, these 'fans' don't care if fighters are pissing purple and having heart attacks in the ring because of roids. They refuse to do anything against the prime directive of supporting their favorite fighter.
"loses by regularly gassing out" Are you deranged? He lost 2 fights out of 53 by gassing. And if you watched those fight it would be evident that he gassed by not conserving his energy like a newb that he was and throwing over 100 punches per round.
The first was he was inexperienced and threw way to much early on. The second time, something was clearly wrong with him. Didn't have like extremely low / high sugar levels?
yes, the Brewster fight was weird, had a lot of questions about it but I do not think he was poisoned though. I much more likely believe that the vaseline was the culprit - they put too much on him and that prevents the body from expelling the heat. It's like running in a wetsuit - tried it, almost passed out after 1/2 mile (I run 4 miles 2-3 times a week no prob).
:good Right like when the fans were proclaiming that they should PETITION THE COMMISSION, and not SINGLE ONE individual; but I guess it's not "cleaning up the sport" if you do it that way.
This is vexing. Either there are more boxers on PEDs than people realize or there are more boxers with the *****-like feminine phobia of needles than people realize. Neither option bodes well for boxing.
I am exaggerating. However he has an AMAZING punch count for a guy that huge. My point is that boxing got known as "a young man's game" for a SPECIFIC reason. I will give anyone that training methods and a reduced amount of fights will increase fighters' careers, but many of these guys are looking BETTER than they did as young prime aged men (26-30). I just don't buy it... without proof. Now that isn't to say that it is impossible. Some guys are "studs" and that can never be ruled out, but why on this Earth would ANY clean athlete not jump at the chance to test and remove all doubt? He is heavy weight and I have given a pint and been right back to exercise within a day or two although admittedly MANY levels of intensity below his. It makes no sense.
I think there's a few factors. One being he's the one easily calling all the shots in this negotiation. Povetkin cant ask for much of anything in this. Also, Wlad probably doesn't trust an outside source. Doesn't his camp think he was poisoned against Brewster?
James Toney Shane Mosley Fernando Vargas Vitali Klitschko Frans Botha Mariano Carerra Orlando Salido Tommy Morrison Richard Hall Omar Nino These are just some of the guys that have been caught/admitted using steroids during their careers under the archaic testing of today. If Pacquiao asked the same question to Mayweather I would have been on Pacquiao's side, because I don't want to see what a ****ing needle can do in the ring, on the court, on the field. I want to see what someone who trained hard legally can do. So if that is Mayweather ball sucking, so ****ing be it.
wait there, so its bad for a Fighter to be tested for Illegal substances? If that's the case, this sport is a drty one!
