Wladimir should vacate his IBO title

It's the promoters who make the fights and make the money that are the real problem in boxing. The abc titles are powerless if their titles aren't accepted by the actual power brokers, so they're more of a joke and just one of many secondary problems in boxing rather than a major problem.

What's ridiculous about the ibo though is that they go on about how their rankings are objective... but their rankings have nothing to do with who actually fights for their titles. Like two fighters below their top 20 will fight for their vacant title, just so they can make a few bucks sanctioning fee from some low-level promoter who wants to put on a 'world championship' fight. I actually asked them about this a couple years ago, and they had no problem acknowledging that they have to put on fights between unworthy fighters because they want to make money as a business. At least the bought or at least influenced rankings of the other abcs often lead to boxoffs to determine a mandatory contender.
