Just asking, if Wladimir Klitschko is still heavyweight champion by 2010, what are the odds that most people will say that he is the best heavyweight of the 2000-2009 era?
Or what if he loses by then, what are the odds?
    If not him, then who?
Maybe it just depends on a lot of things; if he's still champ, who beats him, etc?
    Thoughts?

I would say Lewis has far better wins than Wlad does even at that this point. He beat Grant, Botha, Tua, Rahman, Tyson and Vitali in the 2000's. Wlad only got his act together a couple of years ago anyway. He has accomplished very little really. His best win is what, Peter?

Mind you if he unifies two more belts and beats Povetkin, I guess he probably will surpass Lennox, as best HW of the 2000's.

No way, no how. Wlad has a long way to go before he overshadows Lewis' accomplishments.

I think so. Wlad is something like 9-2 in title fights, and has the most wins over top opponents in the 2000's. If he's still champ by 2010, its a slam dunk.

Wlad's biggest power/advantage is his size. Combined with (I have to admit) raw power, and long reach, of course makes it hard for guys to beat him. If he was smaller without the long reach it was a different story...

But he's ok wlad. Now his brother is a different story.. that guy really is an *SSHOLE

He does have a way to go to top Lewis's accomplishments, but Wlad is on his way, and seems to be getting more and more efffective with each fight.

There is not even one other heavy that reasonable fans would deem a viable threat to Wlad. Not one. That is the very definition of being dominant.

What top opponents has he faced in the 2000`s, Peter was exposed by McCline and yet wlad almost self destructed and turne dinto an octopuss in that fight, yeah he beat a faded Byrd but a guy that was never taken seriously in the first place, i dont think Brock or Austin amount to much, oh yeah he beat a one eyed Brewster who`s trainer was talking about retireing him from the fight as early as one round into it before he even took any shots because they went in with so much concern about the eye.

Very close between him and Lennox. Wlad still has time.

Obviously Lennox ranks much higher because of what he did in the 90s.

I disagree, I think that Chagaev, Valuev and Povetkin all can pose threats to Wlad for various reasons. I'd like to see him fight all of them, and if he were to win all those fights I'd say that is very impressive. IMO I think he isn't necessarily as "dominant" as people make him out to be and I get the feeling he is coming close to a loss, it is about that time.

In the 2000s Wlad did more, Lewis' last fight was in the summer of 03 against Vitali. Wlad beat Bryd, Mercer, Peter, Brewster, and Brock. Lewis beat Tyson, Rahman, Tua, Vitali, on second thought maybe its tie. Both Wlad and Lewis did about the same in the 2000s, the only difference is Lewis lost only once, while Wlad lost 2 times in the 2000s.
