All that said, I would LOVE to see Wlad in with someone of Holme's or Ali's caliber. Unfortunately there's none around and even if he were people here wouldn't see the forest for all the trees in it.

holmes. prime holmes had better movement, he wouldn't be afraid one bit like most fighters today are of Wlad, and his jab was just as good if not better than Wlad's. Holmes might not of been as physically as strong as Wlad, but there were instances of Holmes in his prime where his footwork was underrated. He was super aggressive with that jab and the right hand that followed. Most importantly Wlad would be on the defensive and Holmes eventually would find an opening. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a mismatch. Prime Holmes KO3 Wlad

 

I dont see how people can truly back Wlad on this. He has never beat or fought anyone in the same league as Holmes and he's lost to 3 journeymen?!?!

Larry. Underrated almost as much as Wlad is overrated. Larry has a better jab, how many other punches does Wlad throw? haha not a Klitschko hater, the boys have their styles and it works for them but I think Larry woulda taken this, late stoppage or decision.

 

Holmes on points in a competitive fight. Wlad wouldn't be able to simply dictate the fight with his jab like he has against the poor opposition around today. Holmes is skillful enough and durable enough to out smart and out last Wlad.

 

i think that wlad has the best jab ever to be honest. thats my opinion, his jab is very fast and very powerful. and he is probably one of the top 5 biggest heavyweight punchers ever. i think wlad would outjab holmes and tire him out and ko him late or win a close ud.
wlad has become a truly monster in the last years. But i see wlad having big big problems with a young foreman

 

Larry would thumb him in the eye early, while winning UD.

 

If this was over 15 rds i def favor holmes, even by cut or stoppage. Wlad is too big to sustain with holmes over 15 IMO.

Over 12 the fight is much closer. Wlad has a chance to knock holmes down and win some rds. Holmes would def win some rds.

I like Holmes 7 out of 10 times in this match up. The 2 best jabs in the history of the division right here.

 

Actually if you have ever listened to manny steward hall of fame trainer he will tell you that the best fighters are the fighters who have the best fundamantal skills.

Guys who rely on athleticism can look dazzling for a while, but when they lose their speed, relfexes they get exposed for their lack of boxing skills.
RJJ is the best example of this. Incredible in his prime, horrible past prime.
