Maskaev needs to be suspended for life. Who has Briggs or Golota beaten recently to earn this fight? Toney is an ancient, undersized roider who is completely undeserving. Haye has yet to beat a top 20 HW. Rahman is a decent stop-gap choice who has the power to pull the HW trick of a KO.

Oh ok, you're not questioning Rahman's shitness but you're questioning Wlad's who hasn't lost in years while fighting undefeated fighters and beating all of them, all the while having a guy in your avatar who was knocked out at cruiserweight by a guy who can't even punch.

    Great great reasoning skills.

Both Maskaev and Rahman are in the same level right now, Rahman got KO'd by Maskaev and Maskaev got KO'd by Peter. This isn't a horrible choice it's just a replacement for Povetkin and by a replacement I don't really expect them to find someone WAY better. Who else would you recommend?, there isn't anyone else.

These are the type of fights where things can get crazy though... Yeah, Wlad should easily beat Rock but these type of fights often end up a lot more exciting then had been anticipated. I still remember when Burt Cooper nearly took out Evander in a similar situation.

Hope Wlad comes prepared for the best version of the Rock and doesn't look past him.

What happened to Briggs? That would have been entertaining.

Wlad-Ollie McCall made far more sense. Has Mccall announced retirement? Haven't heard of that. At least Ollie hasnt been knocked down yet and it took a nervous breakdown to stop him. He also has wins against Lewis, and Holmes, two ATG. He's been inactive for a full year, but he's still a top heavy. Not a bad name to put in your resume, more so if you can drop and stop him. And Ollie has a punch and a chin, which are the two assets Brewster employed to give Wlad his last loss.

I like the idea more of a Arreola vs Wlad fight...at least Arreola..whatever you may think about him.... is an undefeated prospect....

Toney fight is a joke too people still think Toney have a chance and in his prime Toney is old, shot, fat, donsen''t have the power to ko Klitsko, he have a less change than Rahman that have the lucky punch chance. Both fights are joke but still i enjoy se Rahaman gets koed again.

Me too, but, at least Wlad is going ahead with the fight after Povetkin can't fight, and he's also getting a decently big name.

Briggs would also have been good to see in there, yes, but still, Rahman is a pretty good choice, in my opinion. :good

Briggs is worse than Rahman the guy only throws 10 punches a round and is gassed after 3 rounds.

Haye was not knocked out by Thompson, he was stopped on his feet (I know how much stock you Klit-ites place in such things)

Also Thompson could punch, ask iron chinned Chris Eubank :deal

It's pretty amusing all these people calling Rahman glass-jawed too in this thread, when he's fighting WALDO :rofl :rofl

In all honesty Rahman has been involved in 3 highlight reel KO's on the wrong side of the coin.

I know Wlad's Chin is not good but he has not been KOed proper like Rahman has and he has not been knocked out of the damn ring either.

Rahman has no chance in this fight. He will be the victim of a highlight reel KO no doubt.

Wlad will lose again but it won't be against Glass Jaw Rahman.

Well Rahman never had the luxury of home town refs giving him ridiculous standing counts to help him recover, did he :yep

I wasn't suggesting for a second that Rahman would win, I doubt he'll even put up a creditable showing at this stage of the game, he'll just be a punch-bag. Not WALDOS fault, most late replacements are just punch-bags after all. The point I was making was that if Rahman has a glass jaw then WALDO certainly does too. Not that we don't all know that already, obviously.
