    Why not?

Sure, Rahmen is shot, but he has a name and some power.

Rahmen represnts a link to a best, better era of heavies.

    Names who are available?

    Povetkin pulls out, not Wlad.

Some people who blame Klitschko for fighting Rahman are true idiots. If he would have cancelled the fight you couldnt throw **** at him. So better STFU.

    Maskaev, Eddie Chambers, Kali Meehan

I can't believe that Rahman quits in his last fight and gets a fight for two belts with Klitschko.

Its no only Klitschkos fault Golota,Valuev or Haye could cancel there fights an fight Wladimir.

There is not a lot to pick from right now, Rahman is an ok pick. I would have rather seen Toney

I would have rather seen Toney, but Rahman is a good replacement.

In order, I wanted to see Wlad against this:

    1. Toney
    2. Rahman
    3. Golota
    4. Maskaev
    5. Chambers

Could but they will not do cancel the fights.

Maskaev? He was taken out by Peter, is old and slow. He did not want to fight Wlad when he was WBC Champ. Wlad offered him 8 Million Dollars!!! Why the hell should Wlad fight him now?

Rahman is the highest ranked contender so the fight make sense.

if chambers fought Wlad the fight will end the same way like it did with chris bryd. meehan is nothing but a journeyman amature who was taken to school by brewster and presents know threats to Wlad. The only one i could see would be maskaev but he is way over the hill. With povetkin pulling out it is a lose lose situation for Wlad but atleast he is trying to stay active that is the important thing.

probably but Chambers would give Wladimir more trouble than Rahman.

The Brewster fight was very close
Atleast Meehan has a winning streak with a win over DaVarryl Williamson
thats more than Rahman was done since he was ko'ed again by Maskaev.

I agree Maskaev is over the Hill but Rahman is even more over the hill
have you watched the fights with Sykes, Lawrence and Toney
Maskaev would Ko Rahman a third time.

Yeah i agree...it just sucks because as a Wlad fan I want to see him challenged and no one in the division presents that too him and its sad because i see very few coming up the ranks now like chris arrealo but i think he will be too slow against Wlad.

I could only see it being either Rahman or JD Chapman

Rahman is soooo slow right now.

He's gonna get killed in there.

The handspeed difference will be incredible.

Rahman sure wouldn't be my first pick at this point.

But I'd rather see Wlad fighting than taking no fight at all.

He hasn't fought more than 2xs in a year for a while.

Fight makes sense from a marketing stand point.

I would have preferred Chambers, Arreola, or someone new.
