As far as winning is concerned, his performance was excellent.

As far as entertainment is concerned, it was awful.

After this many years and number of fights since then, you go back that far to those fights to try and prove a point. How sad

 

Almost as sad as I was watching those two shameful fights v Ibragimov and Thompson. I was sad thinking back to the days of Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe and Tyson, and remembering what heavyweight boxing used to be like from the mid 80s to the early 00s.

You have to be a youtuber if you mentioned Bowe and Tyson as examples of high quality boxing.

Lewis and Holyfield were the only two to fight everyone and even those two have Csyz's and Fortune's on their resumes.

Thompson was exactly what I thought he was - a slightly better version of Ray Austin, old and mediocre.

 

Actually Thompson is miles above Ray Austin as noted by his performances against Ray Austin's performances.

 

He's better than Ray Austin, but not "miles" better. No way.:-(
