Surely this is one of the biggest reasons why the Heavyweight division has no interest in it.

Sure, the lack of contenders/American contenders doesn't help, but here we have TWO Champions who will NEVER fight one another.

Would it not make perfect sense for the Sanctioning Bodies to issue a fight between them?

And I understand that they are Brothers, and in which case, one of them should give up their belts, and their should be a box-off leading to a Unification.

It just doesn't make sense to me to have two champions who will NEVER fight one another.

    Thoughts?

I'm not saying both should be stripped of their belts, I'm saying that there should never be a situation where there can't be a unified champion.

    It's just not right.

And on another note, why don't they order unification bouts all across the board?

But this is the standard. You notice it just because they are brothers.
Not uncommon for a champion under one organization not even to be ranked by a second. Its ridiculous.
Unification usually comes down to money...not because it has been mandated.

Maybe Wladimir has a chance now that Vitali is 40 years old with declining speed and punch power..
But the prime Vitali in his early 30's, before he was send to pre-retirement would have smashed current Wlad to a million pieces..

Wladimir would beat Vitali right now obviously. But Vitali in his prime would destroy Wladimir.

There's been few periods in the history of the division as long as this one when there has been two men that you can say beat everyone in the division with ease, and those periods we have had previously, have given us once in a generation fights.

The heavywieght division is truly a two headed monster at this point and unlike past periods we unfortunately won't get our fight.

It is a shame but is still enjoyable to have two great fighters active.

They will never fight. The haters believe in divide and conquer, that's their only chance to get rid of one of the borthers, but they will never fight each other no matter what..........

Vitali would beat Vlad, no doubt about it.............

When have you seen sanctioning bodies sanctioning unification fights? Its the opposite. They try to keep unifications from happening by stripping their fighters who want to unify.

Even if Wlad and say Peter were champs no one would complain and no one would make them fight.

i think its sad and pathetic in this day and age that some1 can frown at 2 BROTHERS who will not fight each other..like they say you cant play boxing like other sports..we are never going to see it.its frustrating that it wont happen but its understandable.then to have people say they should be stripped of their titles is laughable and embarassing for whoever thinks it...
