I admire your boxing intellect to the fullest Jenna but you are severely underestimating my boy Chauncy. A weaker version of him today took absolutely everything that Solis gave to him and he wrecks people. There is a reason he wants David Tua who is one of the most prolific KO punchers of recent HW's. He knows he can take his shots and beat him. I am also a firm believer that his Chauncy would stand up to Cannon Briggs and that he would out point him at least 7-5 probably more, if not a stoppage late by pure pressure fighting with his superior cardio.

Now days Joe Hipp is lighting a warriors fire under his arse. His manager is talking secret championship shot. Secret is out of the bag now.....Welliver is willing to step up and take on Wladimir. He is in the best shape of his life. Goes 12 rounds all the time like it is nothing.

And who else has 50+ fights at 26 or 27 years old? How many times have boxing brothers with over 40 wins apiece ever clash for the world title? It could be an historic bout.

I challenge Manny Steward to try and train Wladimir to KO Chauncy Welliver.....I can guarantee he will not go down and that the corner footage of him questioning Wlad on why he is not taking him out will be legendary......The Man Is Made Of Steel! Dr. Steel Chin vs Dr. Steel Hammer...that is epic! :bbb

He had enough power to buckle Solis knees with a single shot. He sensed it too and started to jump on him for the kill but it happened with 5 seconds left in the round. If that incident had occurred early or mid round, perhaps Chauncy puts a nice beating on him and parks him. I would have really liked to see what would've happened there. Solis even wobbles a bit on his way to his corner.

I haven't seen anybody else rock Solis to date.

Look, I love Chauncy as much as you do, but he ends up getting decisions against guys ranked in the 200-300s when he should have at least gotten stoppages. He fights guys who are only known in NZ and doesn't KO them. He needs POWER, which is nothing I haven't said to him.

He doesn't think he can beat Tua. He's always said he would be competitive. Solis was smacking him around, and Chauncy wasn't answering back, which is why it was stopped. Still, yeah, I'd give Chauncy a shot if I were a Klit.

Wlad should fight a big name next. Wlad vs George Foreman would be good for Wlad's legacy.

Could be Solis next or Tua. Who else is there? Haye will not fight.

From the reports I've read...he should have gotten a stoppage over Daniel Tai last time out. He whooped him really badly.

He is also doing more weight training than ever. He's just a young man still. He does have the potential to develop more power. He's just now getting his full man strength. He's been fighting big HW's like Shannon Briggs in the gym since he was just a boy.

Also, at 240 pounds, he is quicker than he has been with his feet and hands. That extra speed is going to result in more power and even better boxing movement. He's a much more compact and powerful fighter than when Solis called on short notice.

At his best he may have beaten Solis. He knows he belongs in with the top HW's now. This run is going to take him where it takes him and there are going to be no what ifs. He's got a great team, he's in great shape, and when the walls come tumbling down, win lose or draw, Welliver is going to emerge knowing that he took his best shot at becoming HW Champion Of The World.

Chauncy is a humble man and he has a ton of respect for the sport and top fighters like Tua, Solis, Wladimir and the others, but he is a professional athlete with a competitive fire burning inside too. He never comes to lose and he will never come to lose. He wants at the best in the ring and that is because he plans to beat the best in the ring.

In a perfect world, he would have gotten a chance at an old lion like Briggs and then the winner would have gotten a shot....he could beat Briggs IMO. The other old lions out there are other candidates for fights. Holyfield, Tuaman, James Toney. If he gets his chance, he is going to shine for all the world to see. A big fight and a big win is coming soon for Team Welliver.

Are you prepared for....The Wrath Of Welliver??? :bbb

A Trailer Park card happened last night in Paris Arkansas. A new prospect named Steven "Kid Goodnight" Goodson made his debut.

Speaking of Arkansas...I'm waiting for my team to report back on the status of 29-0 HW Truck Driver, JD Chapman. He would be a nice KO on Welliver's record. :bbb

He's not much worse than some of Wlads recent opponents. I say Wlad wins a close decision.

When did Wlad ever win a close decision? I would either be a wide UD where Wlad would shut him out or very nearly shut him out, or would stop him.

No, Peter, Chambers, Thompson, Ibragimov, etc. are much much better than Welliver.

If you said 'not much worse than some of Vitali's recent opponents,' I would agree.

Who says you need a ton of power to beat a strong man?

Strong man Sosnowski was beaten by Zuri Lawerence who has never had a KO. He was competitive with Vitali. And in a perfect world he would have fought Audley like planned and then the winner would have gotten a title fight....even then they wouldn't have done a **** ton...but they both got Title Fights.

Kevin Johnson didn't do a ton....I was swearing he was holding back his right hand and agression for when he got a shot...thought he had an extra gear that would comne out when all the marbles were on the table.....there was no gear apparantly.

I'd love to see Povetkin or Adamek get the fight. They have done the work but they don't want it. I'd also like to see Solis get the fight but supposedly he can't because he is fighting TBA???? Give me a break, take the championship fight.

Welliver will take it right now like any sane man would. He's in the ballpark on WBO ranking alone.

  14. David Tua is the highest level guy I'd like to see Chauncey in with....I believe he would have a shot if the Tua that fought Barrett showed up. Solis is not a elite Heavyweight, and if Solis gets the Klitschko fight he too will not be making the distance. Welliver is a brave guy, and he can take a beating. But against Wladimir Klitschko there is no chance a REF would let a sustained blunting occur, and the fight would be stopped. Tua is the best fight for Welliver, if he can get that match-up.

With all due respect to Dr. Iron Fist, The Klitschko Brothers, K2, Manny Steward, and all the other naysayers out there.

Chauncy can do this. At the very least he has enough ability and heart, to make an epic and prolonged stand, against the tremendous power of Wladimir. He would do no worse than Silver Medalist and Defending WBO Champion Sultan Ibragimov...with or without a bad paw. He would do no worse than Kevin Johnson against Vitali. He would definitely not quit on the stool like Sam Peter did and he just got a shot at Wladimir after that. What was his big win? Over a guy who could not defeat NY State HW Champ Darrell Madison. Mr. Aguilara, who somehow got Maskaev and Madison can't get anybody to fight him.

It's all about opportunity and Chauncy Welliver could captivate the world on any given night vs either Klitschko. Anything can happen in boxing if you get the fight. Chauncy could be the real life Rocky. All Wladimir has to do is give him a chance.
