:good Good choice from Wlad to fight his mandatories. If Povetkin does not want, than Chambers because Chambers deserves the shot. He beat Dimitrenko on the Universum fight card. All three fighters are worthy contenders. :good
Looks like Povetkin wants a tune up before taking his shot, can't blame him and think it's a smart decision, proves he's serious about it. Now Wladimir can knock Arreola out cold as he waits for Povetkin to be ready, Arreola should be a good tune up. :yep
Arreola may swing for the fences early, but he'll be stopped most likely by his corner late in the fight.
I dont think the IBF will let him delay a fight with Wlad a second time. Maybe im wrong but I would think they would strip his IBF #1 ranking:think
I blame Povetkin! He is the mandatory since last year! And all this bul**** talk from Sauerland that Povetkin will easy win against Wlad. At the end of 2008 Povetkin pulls out because of an so called injury! So is Povetkin willing to fight against Wlad or not? Povetkin should tell the facts! So Wlad can move on and fight a contender who is willing to fight!
Yeah, I laughed at the credible source on this, too. Anyway......... Wlad is fighting Povetkin next. :good
This is just terrible. Do you really believe this? So "deserving" of a title shot, in your opinion means: - bigger than 210 lbs (this trumps victories over top-10 opponents) - don't have the wrong trainer (this trumps vitories over top-10 opponents) - don't unify belts at nearest weight - don't fight anyone in the top 15, fight a semi-retired contender on tv and go life & death with another unproven prospect Really, worst post I've seen in a while.
Arreola is mentioned alot because he is an HBO fighter and HBO wants this fight. HBO has even mentioned Arreola to Wlad for his next fight. Makes no sense at this time. Wlad has to take care of his mands. If povetkin AND chambers both say NO, then I could see Arreola at the staples Center in LA
