That's a shame. I don't really know much about the politics involved. I bet though, in a boxing match, Wlad could make the fight with Cain very exciting without really hurting him or embarrasing him. I doubt Cain could hurt Wlad, unless Wlad put his hands down and Cain took a running start. Wlad's been hit a lot harder in his routine defenses than an mma guy is gonna be able to hit him with. But in an mma match, Wlad could get his leg broken, chocked out, anything, and I wouldn't trust an mma guy to not do that like I would trust Wlad to make the fight fun to watch with little risk of either one getting hurt
Valuev dance circles:rofl:rofl valuev would get KO'd big time BTW: Valuev has already said no to the brothers 3 times:deal.....Where the hell is Valuev anyways?
I'd still like see Haye rematch altough I think Wlad will win again. Povetkin would be nice but I doubt he has the balls to step in the ring with Wladdy.
Wlad has backed himself into a corner it seems. He's just simply too good for everybody else. How anyone could think he is not an ATG is quite funny. The only fights he has left that would pose any challenge to him are fantasy match-ups. And don't give me the fighters were better in the past and this crop of heavyweights are terrible. There are exponentially more athletes and people alive now that at anytime in the past, sports science and performance sport nutrition are light years ahead of even 10 years ago, and access to information is astronomically larger now in Generation Text than even 5 years ago. Opponents don't need to watch grainy videos of their foes, they can watch every fight in every angle to study who they are fighting, they know how to train better now and eat, etc etc etc. The problem is now, Wlad and Vitali are so far ahead of the competition that they have discouraged a lot of fighters from trying to be their best. why dya think mma is gaining? the fighters are all fairly level, and there are many equalizers. With such a specialty type sport as boxing, no one can compete. I still think the exhibition match is the best 'fight' for wlad
He had to have some surgeries for joint issues last year that had a recovery time of at least six months.
I'd like to see Denis Boytsov thrown into the ring with Wlad. Of course, he's not quite ready, (and of course it will never happen) but what the heck, baptism by fire! It could be one heckuva' fight, and I'd give Boytsov better odds than Povetkin, Chagaev, or any of the other pretenders to the throne. (All of whom have absolutely no chance against Wlad.) It's too bad Boystov broke his hand earlier this year. Golden Boy had him slated to fight in April, possibly vs Chagaev. He would have won that fight easily, IMO, and would thus be the logical contender for Wlad. It will be a crime if he finally faces Wlad at the point Wlad is slowing down due to age.
c'mon CHEF! make that fight happen before either retires. I would love to see him knock out Valuev before I'm gone! He'd probably go right through the ring!
i did talk to wlad today...... he has no idea who will be next. Right now he has to pick a date and venue, then they will start on who to fight
