Not really. His technique is still perfect but physically he is clearly declining. Hes not as sharp as he used to be nor is his jab what it once was. Pulev, Povetkin, Haye and Chagaev were all the nr 1 contenders and he beat them with relative ease.
Past prime but still very good, Wlad is leveling off rather than dropping sharply when it comes to prime.
You got a prove he is on roids ? No ? Then SU, cause you embarrass yourself. Klitschko prime was clearly 2007-2012. But im looking forward to see how he will look again Jennins. I also dont think he have problem with his jab, just no way, and some people just talking nonsenses. You cant say one guy lose prime, jab, skill, speed or whatever by 1 match. He could not be in perfect shape for that match or his opponent is very good, and many, many more things. Pulev have almost a year to prepare for Klitschko, and Wladimir and his team are great strategists, so he simply outsmart Pulev and his jab was not need it there. Thats why he didnt use it as much as usual. There was nothing wrong with his jab against Leapai for example.
Don't get your knickers in a twist I basically assume every fighter is on roids and it doesn't really change my perception of them
Yes, he trains more now, and pace himself better, but to me it still looks like as a youngster he moved more. He did a lot of wasteful moves, and that was his weakness, but he was even more impressive, to me. Maybe i'm biased. :bart
Not only that, he fight a lot more matches for a year then, then now. For example Purrity was hit 9th match for the year and his 25match for 24 months. He simply outpace himself and collapse. That was bad management.
25th match for 24 months? u sure about that? its a little less, but still a fair bit. However pretty much all of them were deadbeats brought in to fall in 2 rounds. hardly a strain, in fact loads of boxers do this on there way up...more its K bro fighting loads of weaklings to build up an unbeaten record.
How in a blue world 25 matches for 24 months its a little less? And yeah they wasnt first quality, but when you have a match every month, you dont have so much time to prepare yourself and your training will suffer a bit. Not to mention Klitschko never goes beyond round 6. And they put him in the ring with granite chin Purrity in a 12 round match .... And Purrity was not some pro, but he was very experience. No matter how you look, just idi*** management. BTW, Joshua for 2 years have only 10 matches .... For 6 years Fury have less matches then Wlad for 2 .....
Thread starter is a complete moron. Wlad is way way way past his prime now. If Haye were to come back today, he would KO Wlad in under 6 rounds tops. Deal with it.
NO he was brilliantly managed facing stiffs, but poorly matched for his fans entertainment. Purritty wasn't much different. he was a journeyman, just a decent one. who cares you can fight 50 in one month if they are brought in to fall down. These aren't fights at all. Unfortunately Wlad is still passing these fights off as world champion (Pulev)
