You need to put some of your attitude back in the box, H.

This definitely ranks as a major HW contest and the sternest test for Wlad since Chag, when, in the opinion of many, he became lineal.

Nearly all who ddn't buy the lineality of that bout are taking this one as creating a new line.

Again....this is no super fight. Super fights are bouts with high level great fighters. Neither man is in that category. One is a walking statue the other a contender who thinks he is champion because he holds a paper title. It will be a yawner.

Wladimir Klitschko is a high level great fighter. This is undeniable.

I am very interested to see who houdini picks over a post 2007 version of Wladimir Klitschko throughout history in fantasy fight?

Slow walking statue who has been brutally koed three times by low level fighters. watch what happens when he is hurt....if you know boxing that's all you need to see.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

I am fine with a healthy difference of opinion, but to discredit Wlad, or even Povetkin, is to fly in the face of the sport and the high level pro's, whose days and nights are consumed by it, who would strongly disagree with you. I haven't hung out in boxing gyms in a few years as I've moved on to other saner pursuits, but the guys in there still train their asses off, are still intimidating and serious professionals... and the great motivator $$$ is still in healthy abundance at the top level. I just wouldn't go into any gyms spouting off about how shitty fighters are today.

Wlad's a beast. Nearly every guy who has been in the ring with him attests to this. He's a physical freak who, like every fighter before him, has strengths and weaknesses. But he has been able to control the division for 7 or so years, a rare and distinguished feat.

He has been brutally koed by nobodies three times. Laughable kos. Falling all over the ring going own in section kos. In all three bouts it's obvious he don't want to be in there when hurt. Can't be a great fighter with these huge holes in your career and mental makeup. Big, muscular and cut don't make anyone a great fighter. Being a great fighter makes one a great fighter.

Houdini, I know this is going to come across negatively, as it is hard to pick up on the tone of someones statement or question when reading it, but this is actually an honest question, all bull**** aside.

Why do you think you know more about boxing than most others? Or that your opinion is more valid?

I know boxing. Been intimately involved with the sport since the early 70s. Have also had a strong interest in hwt boxing history since that time. Attended a few hwt championship bouts since Ali Norton 3. Watched every hwt champion from Frazier to Holmes train in person...some many times. Come from a family who loved the sport. My father followed the sport from the late 20s and passed along to me his thoughts and observations.

What Wlad did years ago is hardly relevant to the fighter he has become. The present version is a dominant h2h beast. Lennox got KO'd by two journeymen and I have him top 4. Most have him somewhere in top 10.

And FYI, I've been following the sport longer than you have, if a stat like that even mattered.

The last line there, in this context, is cringeworthy, H.
