atsch You never owned **** ! Your claiming a guy who is grossly outgunned in every way could beat VLAD ! Thats called group conformation ! Like it or not BOWE would get destroyed !:deal
Its actually about the true nature of the fighters he calls ALL TIME GREATS and how they are given cedit for ability they didnt have !:good
To each his own, knowledge is the best weapon to get your point accross IMO. I just hope you guys finally come to realization sometimes you got to agree to disagree, which me and 2 Smart have done plenty of times already.:good
Bowe was a good fighter in his prime, but his prime only lasted a couple of years. His down fall was food and domestic disputes, if he didnt have to deal with both them things, he was destined to be ATG IMO.
:smoke He was a good fighter ! Nothing more or less ! he was easy to hit hurt and outbox ! LL was the great fighter of the 90s and noone else !:good
He beat an ATG that was also in his prime in Holyfield, dont you think that was a good start on his way to being a possible ATG?
A peak Riddick Bowe would stop the pre Manny Steward version of Wlad in his tracks, around the mid-rounds. These days Wlad is a more polished fighter overall and defensively better, this would be a tougher matchup to call- he'd give Bowe some tricky moments but in this case Bowe would emerge with a close but clear UD.
Hard one to pick. Bowe had an extremely managed career in that Neuman (that punk with the tail) kept him away from any danger. He dropped his title in the trashcan to avoid Lewis, whom he had signed to face. Holyfield was seen as an easy win, case of a skilled big man beating a skilled smaller man. He went into the rematch with that idea and payed for it. Other than that, who has Bowe faced? glass chinned Hide had him out on his feet before Bowe went to work. Donald was a good win, an underachiever. Other than Hide, he never faced a single puncher. The third win against Holyfield was more because Holyfield gassed/broke down than because of Bowe's ability; Holyfield won the first rounds comfortably and knocked Bowe down in the 6th. Golota, the first real heavyweight with skill he faced, beat the living **** out of him. While he was a bit past his best there, remember he did "beat" Holyfield in his previous fight. My point is this: Bowe's defence is extremely weak, even journeymen had a 50% connect percentage against him! Maybe this is why he was steared away from big punchers, maybe not. But in the end, against not only a huge puncher, but also a fast and skilled one in Wlad, i think Bowe payes dearly for his none existant defence and gets stopped in 8 rounds. Bowe has a decent chance to win because of Wlad's weak chin, but Bowe didn't know how to throw a straight right hand which he would need hard against Wlad.
