Wlad's American television career was ruined by his performance against Ibriganov.

Manny was right when he was screaming at Wlad to take more chances.

That was Wlad's BIG opportunity and he blew it. He had a guy that only came to survive, and Wlad still fought so cautiously that everybody in the crowd fell asleep.

It reminds me of this piece of **** fight from the 1920's.

Considering he pulls 60k crows in Germany and has television broadcast over most other parts of the world, I doubt he's losing any sleep over that unfortunate episode..

He fought all his following opponents in the same way. So any one of them could have ruined his career. He is just unable to fight on the inside or use any combinations. Deal with it.

Floyd got away with the baldomir fight... Wlad just needs to be promoted properly by HBO.

But Floyd sells because of his attitude, and the fact that honestly a lot of people don't particularly like him, and want to see him knocked out.

Wlad is a heavyweight boxer. Heavyweights can't get away with that kind of thing, and the fact that there is no credible opposition with the exception of MAYBE DAVID HAYE who has the skills, but apparently not the heart, makes it even more difficult for Wlad to gain an American audience.

I don't understand how that's a double standard. Floyd sells PPVs to + 1mil households.

How would a Wlad PPV perform?

Wlad isnt american fighter, he is white so he have less chances to attract American audience

Ibragimov fight was BIG chance for him. I remember those interviews etc, unification fiht, MSG.And nothing more then boring fight

Shame on Wlad, but that sometimes happends. His advantage is that in Germany he can get 60 000 spectators and more then 10mln usd paychecks which in USA wouldnt be possible

Wlad's US television career is mostly impacted by the fact that there are no credible US fighters. The average weight of the top 20 US heavyweights is 285 lbs, their average age is 48 years.

HBO has wasted 10 years in showcasting terrible fights between old fatties or delusional lunatics such as Holyfield, Ruiz, Toney, Peter and lastly Arreola. You can't blame Wlad for that fact.

I wouldn't blame Wlad as much as I'd blame HBO themselves. They thought they could sell garbage to their audience, but the audience disagrees and moved to the lower weight divisions.
