Wlad's mandatory will probably happen in mid 2008. The winner of Brock/Chambers vs. Byrd/Povetkin will need to rest a few months before fighting Wlad.

But Ibragimov does have to fight Thompson.

Agreed, if they can't afford it who the **** are they to hold up unification? Plenty of others would be willing to put up the necessary funds I'm sure. Germany for one.

Klitschko would be wise to put that in the contract before/if he re-signs with them.

I've heard that Feb 23 is the date HBO has reserved for Wlad (don't remember the source, but I'll look for it). No opponent or venue yet, but this would be plenty of time to make a unification with either Ibragimov or Chagaev.

I would prefer a unification bout against Chagaev, but I won't complain if they make it against Ibragimov.

Maybe we're just talking and they will make Wlad-Tua, Chagaev-Moorer and Ibragimov-Thompson. :-(

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but I would think there's a very good chance that a unification bout between Wlad and either Sultan or Ruslan will be made for early 2008.

It's not secret that Wlad is trying to get an unification bout against Chagaev/Ibragimov.

Chagaev's camp kind of moved away from the oportunity, probably because they don't like the chances of their fighter.

Ibragimov is a fighter with bigger balls, but he will only get into this fight if he's guaranteed half the money involved. Otherwise he will go for Thompson where he has a far better chance of sucess.

Id like unification but it probablly wont happen. Im expecting Rahman-Klitschko in February which would actually be the best fight.

Yeah it would be but who wouldnt Wlad give a senseless beating to ? This guy is so far ahead of his competion its down right laughable. I honestly cant seen Ibragimov or Chaveg doing any better then a in-shape Rahman would do. Sam Peter well weve already been there.

Last time I checked Rahmans the only Champion besides Klitschko thats ever did **** at all. Rahman KOed Lennox Lewis cold that alone that one fight rapes anything Ibragimov,Peters or the White Tyson :rofl ever could do. Add in the wins over James Toney,David Tua (both draws where robberies)Monte Barrett,Corrie Sanders,Rob Calloway and his 2nd reign as a Champion he has actually did something in this sport.

The most important question is: Is Wlad scared to fight Sultan?

If not (which is probably the case) then I think this fight will happen
before the 4 man-contest ends to figure out Wlad next mandatory.

Wlad would be wise not to **** off HBO. They've done alot of good things for Wlad. They've broadcasted many of his fights, including his mandatory defense against Ray Austin. They've fattened Wlad's pockets and stuck by him even after was Knocked out twice. HBO has more than enough good fighters to fill their fight schedule. Unless Wlad wants to fight on the second rate Showtime network, he'll keep his mouth shut and do what HBO tells him to do.
