Wlad's Camp Has Been VERY Quiet...

Klits hurt his hand in the Brewester fight and i thought he would be out until January??:hi:
Sultan is too small for Klits and would be over-powered i see a KO in that match inside of 10..
I wouldn't mind seeing Klits and Valuev but that's a different topic for a different day...

 

A unification fight with Chagaev is quite unlikely as long as Chagaev is with Universum and Kohl. Problem is, that Klitschko and Chagaev got exclusive contracts with two different TV broadcasters in Germany (Klitschko RTL and Chagaev State TV ZDF) and these TV stations already intimated, that the fight is more or less unlikely. ZDF is afraid lose a HW-titleholder, as well as Klitschkos former promoter Kohl never ever will accept the risk to lose the title to Klit.

So its more likely that Klitschko might fight Ibragimov, due to Ibragimov is more or less free from any contractual problems.
The other problem is that Ibragimov has his mandatory defense vs. Thompson. But hey, lets give a unification in Feb 08 a chance and the winner should fight Thompson in May 08.

I think its all up to if Ibgramimov has the confidence to fight Wlad, or not.

That is what it all depends on.

 

I just hope Iggy/Wlad isnt on PPV, the fight lack interest even in me. Iggy will get his ass plastered by Wlad, I see this looking like the brock fight, Iggy will win a couple rounds then he will get hit with something big and it will be over.

If this fight is made I will probably get it on PPV, but I wont be happy. Why cant Wlad fight a interesting fight against a Valuev who most people would be interested to see, I would love to see if Wlad could take out the giant Valuev.

 

If Klitschko and Chagaev could work something out they could stage a huge fight in Germany and wouldn't even need HBO's money; unfortunately that's probably the most unlikely unification right now.

 

You don't think HBO wants to host Wlad vs. "whichever beltholder has the balls to sign"? Please. The Heavywights still rule this sport whether or not you like it or agree and Wladimir is the top HW regardless of Bernstein trying to sell us that Peter was the man. He's full of **** & he knows it too. WK is the man to beat at HW and whatever network, PPV, etc. that gets to host that fight should feel lucky.

 

If one thing is certain it's that Sultan will fight anybody. I have no reason to believe otherwise.

True, but if you want a bigger fight PPV wise, you gotta go the Valuev/Wlad route. That fight still to this day is very exciting to me and most fight fans alike, if they put a countdown Valuev/Wlad on HBO even the common fight fan would be attracted to it. If Wlad could knockout Valuev it would be amazing, not only that but it would prove a bigger feat than beating Iggy IMO.

 

Valuev vs. Klitschko probably won't happen either, for the same reasons as Chagaev vs. Klitschko is not happening: different TV contracts in Germany. Maybe if HBO would be willing to pump a lot of money into this fight, but that's seems unlikely.

 

Valuev/Wlad would be a fight the average person would want to see, if Wlad would beat Valuev it would be his best win since Peter probably. The Heavywieght division is losing fans and needs to do something fast to stop it, I will always be there but alot of others wont if the division keeps getting worse.

 

:rofl man this is a funny post. firstly, you actually think if wlad and holyfield were standing toe to toe, holyfield would win? damn, i thought the sultan fight would have injected a big dose of reality into holyfields diehard fans.

and secondly, that pitty patter hit and run style reminds me of someone.... maybe someone called mayweather :yep well, mayweather is a brilliant boxer, but in the latest fights mayweather has been doing a lot of pitty patting and runnin'.

I love Evander. I watched him on pay per view against Douglas and Foreman- lots of great memories.

But if he fought Wladdy, he would be killed. Literally.
