Yes his comp has been great and he hasn't ducked a single fighter. He also has a **** chin...which is what the thread is all about. If your a Wlad fan I understand your fustration but your point is somewhat irrelavent. The actual name of the thread is "Wlad's chin is underrated". I would maybe agree with this but I also feel he probably has the worst chins of any current champion in any weight division (p4p). Most people are under the impression that if anyone lands any punch on the guys chin he'd go down like a ton of bricks. This can't possibly be true, as anyone that goes on ***** street everytime they get hit would never make it out of a training camp. SO if his chin is that bad his mother would have pulled him out of the sport a longtime ago. Wlad can take some punishment and he has been hit with some okay punches before. Even against a guy like Haye, I wouldn't be suprised to see him eat a number of decent shots without showing too many effects. That being said based on what we've seen from him in the past he couldn't eat any clean shots and he certainly can't take too many in sucession. I honestly can't ever once remember seeing him walk through a shot and thinking "oh that was a good one". Because every time he gets hit with a B+ and above shot he hits the deck. Some people have brought up Lewis as an example of what a glass jaw is. Well lewis has walked through many bombs in his career tha are way harder then anything that Wlad has ever been hit with. Lewis knocked coold twice, fair enough. But the reason that Wlad has never been knocked out like that is because he's never been hit like that. Yes stamina played a big part in a couple of Wlads loses but just looking at what happens whenever this guy gets hit with any shot of note you have to conclude that his chin is not good.
I just saw that fight. He didn't eat much more than a jab, consistently, and he was knocked back pretty good by the jab. He does not have a reliable chin. No, it's not glass. Glass jaws can't dominate a division. It's amazing to have an average unreliable one and dominate a division though. Any division in any state, really. And it does show how good Wlad is at not getting clocked. He fought Ibragimov, Chambers and Chagaev while barely being touched.
These are things that even things out amongst the K-bros.......... Wlad has more finess and skill, while Vitali is bigger, tougher and owns a much better jawbone........ I DIG THE BROS!! :deal MR.BILL:bbb:hat
Oh, that's not fair. Audley is p4p one of the hardest punching and most skilled fighters in the world today!
Muhammad Ali is rated as having one of the strongest chins ever in boxing. Well how many times did he hit the deck in his career ? Even in the amateurs at light-heavy he was getting put on the floor. The point about a glass-chin isn't that you go down, it's the effect it has on your body namely your legs. A glass chinned fighter once hit physically can't stand up because his legs turn to 'jelly' .. this doesn't really happen to Wlad. I think Wladimir's problem is more psychological than anything else. He fell victim to his own success and went too long without getting hit. Now he can't take it.
You stupid ****ing nut hugger ******. Yes he have.. RAhman McCall were mere journeymen too and they are remembered only because KTFO Lewish WITH ONE SINGLE PUNCH. Lennox is GLASS JAW same like WLad just little tougher and didnt melt down and hit the deck like Wlad when being hurt.
Lewis fought HUGE punchers pretty much every fight and took shots from them, could Wlad take shots from Bruno, Briggs, Ruddock, Holyfield OH and a PRIME Vitali Klitschko, no, no he could not. (I picked out these guys because they all landed big shots on Lewis at some point, esp. Briggs) If anything Lewis's chin is underrated...
