He had a mediocre jaw, but not glass imo. Before this fight, the only fighter to truly blast him out, without tiredness involved, was Corrie Sanders, and he kept getting up.
Early in his career his fight or flight was broken, when he got hit his adrenaline would go into overtime and he would crumble. This has improved with time for Wlad, tonight was the first time in 12 years he's hit the deck.
He still doesn't have a good chin, but took some shots that would and have put other more apparently more durable fighters away. That uppercut in the 11th is the same that put Whyte to sleep, and nobody talks about his "glass jaw".
It's still a jaw that is susceptible to pressure. A guy with a warrior chin takes one on the face and keeps coming forward, fires back with his punch without looking out of the fight. With Wlad, you put pressure on his face and you will get him out of there.
Some kid said in an earlier thread: "any other HW would have been out of there by rd. 3!" Lol. Joshua didn't land his first real punch until the 11th round.
Hater poster troll morons notwithstanding, in answer to the op, YES, Wlad's "glass" jaw was a myth that got shot down tonight. That uppercut that didn't even knock him down would have FINISHED 90% of hw's.
his chin isnt the problem. He withstood some good shots tonight. Its his mentality under attack, imo... and unfortunately his defense. For all his guile he still gets hit with those big shots too much.
