Your agenda seems to be that Mormeck got what was coming to him, rather than what happened was legal. Am I right?

I'll ask you a simple question: Is excessive holding legal?

    yes.

problem is, there is no set cut and dry definition to "excessive".
and the other problem is who do you blame for the initial start of a clinch.

thats the problem with boxing. they make too many things judgement calls by referees and most cant handle it or keep proper track.

Same with "pushing off" . Khan is the only guy in my 25 years of watching boxing that i have ever seen lose points, not once but twice. and look at the amateur barnyard ref who was in charge of that fight.

holding is like doing 56 MPH in a 55 MPH zone...its against the law, but the limit is set for the guys who abuse it

Excessive is in the eye of the referee, you're right. How could anyone watch those 16 clinches in the first round and say that it wasn't excessive? It's illegal to hold a fighter solely because he's close. Mormeck wasn't even throwing punches when Wlad was grabbing onto him.

In a rough, up close fight between two pressure fighters, you could have 50 clinches without a single warning. That's not the issue though. The issue is when one fighter blatantly cheats in order to spoil his opponents tactics. That's what Wlad was doing.

The referee was right to warn him. He should have been fair and followed through with his warnings.

I love Wlad but I almost want him to lose to prevent Jack's AIDS-ridden tears from getting all over me everytime I sign in to see him crying like a hysterical school girl at a ****** Bieber concert every time he thinks about him and has to make a thread.

The Klitschko brothers are evil and they want to ruin our lives, our only savior Haye has fallen, so our last resort is to make hate/troll threads about them! We must stop their evil ways, other wise they will keep murdering and raping our loved ones..
God please save us from the devil's sons..

I don't mind Wlad, in fact I quite like him, but I genuinely don't understand how anyone could enjoy or stick up for his very clear both boring and illegal holding/pushing down of opponents.

Of course all boxers do things they shouldn't, however there is a line. His constant use of this illegal tactic blatantly in front of everyone, along with the way refs in Germany let him get away with it time and time again is very questionable.

It was bad because it was totally unnecessary. Mormeck was completely over his head, and Wlad excessively just fell on top of him. It highlighted and made it abundantly clear to anyone that Wlad tries to fall forward to literally lean on opponents, and it's not just a clash of opponents coming together where someone could wrongly argue that Wlad wasn't trying to clinch. It was like Wlad was willing to just fall over Mormeck instead of actually throwing a punch on the inside... and Mormeck is just an absolute farce of an opponent at this stage. Maybe Wlad built Mormeck so much in his head with the pre-fight "Tyson" hype.

It's not even an issue of just clinching or holding or people falling into each other. It was Wlad just falling forward and leaning and pushing his body on Mormeck's neck. In Ali-Foreman, after Foreman's wild swings Ali would control him by the neck to help tire him out (Definitely wrong). But Wlad in zero danger and without a punch being thrown would simply fall and grab onto Mormeck whenever Mormeck got passed jab range. That shits not only outrageous and illegal, but it's disgraceful.
