This has probably been covered already but I've been away from the forums for a while. Any idea who will replace Steward?

Think on it as an audition.

Manny was Banks' trainer also, and Banks has a fight the week after Volo's. Not ideal for anybody, but I guess as a team, they're making do. It seems like they're pretty tight-knit over there. Maybe Volo will accompany Banks to the Mitchell fight too?

It looks like Banks could stay his trainer. It isn't even a bad choice he should have learned enough from Steward and Wlad needs someone he can trust. And would else could be his new trainer he isn't going back to his old trainer and most of the great trainers are in the US and haven't got enough time for him. Roach? No. Richardson? probably not. Diaz? wouldn't be that bad but he hasn't got enough time because of Cotto. Hunter? would probably be very good for Wlad but he got Ward and now Khan

Banks is the perfect fit. Wlad said that he doesn't need a coach. He needs someone who can talk with him about gameplans and some small advices. Like a consultant because he always trains and sparrs on his own without a coach

It would be interesting if Wlad went on from here without a real trainer.

Or how about this scenario: Wlad loses to Wach because he's unfocused after Steward died. He's in the gym a few weeks later and punches a bag in frustration, then hears 'That's not the way to do it', turns around- and there's David The Hayemaker Haye- silhouetted against the door :scaredas:

Yes! It'll also have a behind-closed-doors fight at the end. Unfortunately, it'll be a lot like the first one and the viewer will have to watch all 12 rounds. No editing, real time

Johnathon Banks will be a good choice, he was very close to Emanuel Steward and Wlad learned so much over the years from Emanuel Steward.

In the earlier days with Steward (2004-2009) Steward was at the camp for the whole training. In the last years Wlad trained himself and Emanuel Steward makes the tactics and both talked a lot.

Emanuel Steward can never be replaced. But Banks is a good choice.

Id say its a one fight only deal.

Im mean, Banks has his own career to worry about.

Except the whole thing will be filmed in black and white, with a soundtrack by Phillip Glass. That'll attract the art crowd.
