Having Vlad and Wlad there will just give Fury that extra bit of motivation. So yeah might be wise for them to stay at home.
He was so past it against Joshua, handspeed and timing were completely gone. Each time Joshua turned up the heat he couldn't handle it.
But Wlad will tell you age is just a number. Fury destroyed him on that stance in the gloves are off.
With how Fury has conducted himself over the last year… The camera should just kind of pan to him and he’ll get a quick introduction without any music like the old WWF jobbers used to get before Flair or Rude used to come out to theatrics. Then Usyk will be brought out on a Throne. No but in all seriousness Usyk should come out 2nd imo
"A legend like Wlad shouldn't leave the sport on the back of two losses." It's the path he chose. Wlad said: "I got more respect for losing against Joshua than I got for my best victories" and even "I won by losing". He could have activated the Joshua rematch clause and intuitively he'd have had a good chance of winning but he chose instead to retire on back to back losses. He also could have challenged Wilder in theory but didn't do that either, apparently Wlad didn't fancy his chances at that stage despite what happened in sparring back in 2012.
Wlad coming back to challenge any heavyweight short of the Fury-Usyk winner would be beneath him. I highly doubt he would come back now regardless, but by the time the dust settles with the Fury-Usyk rivalry, I'd be even more surprised.
Wlad couldn't beat Fury even then, and he especially wouldn't be able to do it now. Plus, Fury would prepare well for the fight, to show that he "didn't avoid a rematch". Foreman was 45 when he won the title, not 48. Guinness records don't just break; because some fan thinks it's possible. Back then (in 1994) nobody thought it was possible, I'm not even sure George Foreman thought it was possible. This content is protected P.S.Wlad should enjoy his retirement and not tarnish his reputation like RJJ.
