:rofl  Agreed, his fight against Iggy proved all the Wlad nuthuggers wrong, he's still afraid to get hit, against Iggy he looked terrified to throw a right hand and get countered. Even when he had Iggy hurt pretty bad, he showed no killer instinct in trying to finish him, it's fights like that, that give the heavyweight division a black eye imo.

Yeah those little crouched southpaw jabs to the body must have felt like a wrecking ball the way Wladimir was acting.

I know, if Iggy could of just got past/under that jab, and pressured Wlad a bit, we might have seen Iggy pull out the win. I think Iggy came in with the plan to counter Wlads right everytime he threw it, it's just too bad Wlad threw very little right hands and when he did Iggy couldnt time them for ****. Iggy looked like Zelenoff, throwing those wide ass looping hooks hoping they would land somewhere, it was lame showing by both men.

That is spot on, and the key to how boring it turned out. It was funny how Jeff Mayweather was talking about how they had Plan A B C and D :huh:lol:

I didn't blame Ibragimov too much. I mean it was pretty limp, but he didn't have the ability to expose Wlad's weakness to pressure, as he is a natural counterpuncher at a huge stylistic disadvantage. Guy just wanted to survive, can't blame him for that. I bet he thought Xmas came early when he barely had to avoid a right hand all night

The onus was on Wlad as the supposed man in the division, in the first unification fight for ages to put down a marker and impress the fans. He failed horribly.

Agreed on all points, Iggy might of a had another plan or two, but after he felt Wlads power in the middle rounds, he made the decision to survive instead of fight, and I believe Wlad knew that, and thats why he refrained from taking any risks in the later rounds, going against Manny's wishes.

Before the fight I was pumped up, like many others, but with each passing round I started wondering when Wlad would drop the straight right bomb, and finish this guy once and for all, but that didnt happen. I was however happy that the fans there gave Wlad a proper departure, by booing him throughout his interview with Kellerman, I laughed when Wlad tried to quiet the upset crowd.

I think both were at fault of that fight. Iggy just waited to counter, and didn't ever push, and Wlad was happy to oblige and jab his way to an easy win.

Wlad didn't have to take a chance to win that fight, Iggy did.. he chose not too. Don't blame Wlad for that fight.. blame Ibragimov.

Exactly. Boxing knowledge of posters on ESB gets grossly exposed when they do not place the large majority of the blame on Sultan for that fight.

I have already stated, both Wlad and Iggy deserve the blame, not just one or the other. Wlads the champ, he should act like and try to finish his oppenent when he has him hurt. Iggy's goal is to take the belt off the champ, so that means do everything in his power to win, neither man came up to the mark. It was the first unification fight in 9 years, and it was a terrible fight that showed two men afraid to get hit, leaving the fans no choice but to boo the poor performance both men showed that night.
