10 minutes of holds, lunging in, hooking his arm under Peters arm and locking it illegally and the other arm around his kneck and leaning on.

I stopped counting after 95 holds,

i don't think he wants anymore of peter,i've never seen such a big man do so much running.ali would have toyed with him.foreman would have knocked him cold as a maggot.imo

Yawn. Ali held just as much vs Foreman and numerous other fighters.
Holyfield held Tyson 146 times over 10 and a quarter round. Big deal. It's a tactic vs punchers and it works.

ali might have held foreman some but he also punched back in combinations, finally knocking him out.wlad's just way too timid, always safety first.makes for not to interesting fight.

joe, when i boxed in the 60's and early 70's i was 6'1" and about 220 lbs then i'd walk through some fighters, god wlads 6'6" tall and looks strong but he doesn't show that strength in the ring much.like to see him against a good body puncher, peter only head hunted

Thats the thing, he LOOKS strong, but isnt. He is quite naturally lean and sinewy, ie not a big framed guy. Without weightlifting what would he be? A lanky 210-220?

As for the spoiling, either the referee has to take points, or just allow the guy (Peter) to fight in the clinch. If Wlad has to take a couple of whacks around the back of the head he cant complain TOO much.

Yeah, why don't we talk about Scam Cheaters not only ILLEGAL but DANGEROUS punching to the back of the head?

Watch the second Toney fight. He MEASURES UP the back of Toneys head then tries to hit it. It's ****ing ridiculous and they should have DQ'd him immediately for that ****.

Holding and wrestling for posistion has been a part of the game since the beginning. Apparently , some only notice it in the fighters they don't like, to the point where they're counting the number of clinches.

Oh come on, was Wlad ever 'wrestling for position' in that fight? I.e. was he clinching and looking for openings, or working on the inside at all? No, he was just holding and waiting for the referee to restart the action. Jab and grab, thats not 'infighting' or anything like it, puh-lease.
