What are Wlad's top 5 wins? In my opinion it would go

    1. Sam Peter. An undefeated fighter with a big punch and a solid chin. Has went on to capture the WBC crown.

    2. Chris Byrd-Two dominating beatdowns over the IBF Champion who had defended his title numerous times. Terrible matchup for Byrd but a wins a win.

    3. Calvin Brock-I guess he edges Sultan due to him winning every fight prior, and gave Klitschko the hardest fight of his reign.

    4. Sultan Ibragimov-Unbeaten WBO champ. Isn't a very good fighter but is OK and has decent skills.

    5. Jammel McCline-Big durable fighter with wins over solid contenders and gave several titlists all they could handle.

HM:Monte Barrett, Ray Mercer, Ray Austin.

Wlad has a decent resume so far. If he defeats Povetkin, where does that win rank?

Povetkin ranks #1 on mine, he's better than rabbit punching buffoon

    2 at worst.

I think Brewster rematch deserves in the top 5. Way to get revenge.

    Just for me:

    1. Chris Byrd (part 1)-Byrd was streaking after beating big brother Vitaly. And he was dismantled by Wlad.

    2. Peter- well, they said Wlad has no chin and we'll be KO'd by Peter. I guess skills sometimes makes up for weak constitution.

    3. McCline- someone who is considered legit after big wins over Grant, Whitaker and Briggs. Unfortunately he froze.

    3. Brewster- well he did show that he can come back against a guy who KO'd him prior.

    4. Mercer-no one has ever stopped Mercer before.

    5. Lastly, his win over Ibraghimov. Should have rated higher had Wlad went serious about scoring a KO.

Brewster was a total shell of his former self. He was coming off a long layoff, serious eye surgery, and had shown signs of decline against Liakhovich in his last fight.

    1. Peter

    2. Byrd I

    3. Brewster II

    4. Ibragimov

    5. Byrd II

Wlad has a very impressive resume. I would say it is the best of any active heavyweight right now with the exception of Holyfield. The fights I picked were based on how dangerous they were and if he was favored or not.

Barrett, McCline, Botha, Nicholson, Thompson, Jefferson, Mercer, TOS, and even Axel Schulz are also all not bad heavyweights either and they didn't even make the top 5!

I was very impressed by the Mercer win as Wlad was the first to KO Ray. It would be like somebody KOing Oliver McCall.

Making Brewster quit on his stool has to be up there.

The same Brewster who prided himself in not having any dog in him and calling Wladimir weak minded quit before he got KO'd.

How impresive beating up a 41 punch bag with arms we covered this the other day and 80 % of people agreed he was so shot you could see holes through him

I agree with this 100%, except that it's a "decent resume". I guess it's decent for who's available, but in the greater scheme of things, he hasn't really beaten anyone great.

    - The Barrett win is extremely overrated; Barrett is a nobody if he doesn't upset Wlad.

    - Byrd and Mercer are the only fighters he's beaten with good resumes, but Mercer was long done by the time he fought Wlad, and Wlad was just a horrible horrible style matchup for Byrd.

    - Whether or not he's ducked (I'm not insinuating that he has), Wlad has never fought any of the most dangerous fighters out there. He didn't have much of a choice as to fighting Peter, but neither of them were even top-8 at the time of that fight. He never fought Ruiz, Tua, old man McCall, old man Holyfield, the circus freak, Rahman, or any number of other guys who would be bigger threats to actually beat him, yet he's still had three losses hung on his resume by guys ranging from borderline gatekeepers to borderline contenders.

A Povetkin win would rank at least 4th, probably 3rd on this sad list.
