Good win for Antonio Davis, but ****ing **** that ref sucked ass. THOSE WERE NOT KNOCKDOWNS. Both were pushes. No wonder Leon Bobo quit, he lost points for holding twice, and lost 2 points on KD's that were pushes. I'm not a Bobo fan, but I hate **** like that, and I hate it worse when Teddy and Joe are watching the replays and don't SAY **** about it. Davis was able to manhandle Bobo because Bobo can't punch, just goes to show that you gotta have atleast some pop to make it in this game.. and Bobo gots none.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. And, it is damn annoying when commentators ignore the play-by-play to go on rants. Seriously.
You're right, but doesn't change the fact that the ref and the commentators were a joke. They had a chance to correct themselves during the replays, but they didn't.
For some reason, my cable box says WnF and I have baseball on that chan. instead. Um? Yeah, I don't give a **** about Barry Bonds and his steroid homerun record.
I agree with you on the second KD, but the first one looked legit. I'll tell you what REALLY pissed me off about this show though - those %$^$^'s at ESPN switched it at the last minute from 10 to 8, and I missed the first fight. Just for the heck of it I checked around nine and found the show was ALREADY on! WTF!!!:fire
That might explain why I missed it. I just turned it on now at 10...and there wasn't a damn thing to see. Wish I would I have known it was on at 8. I was bored at 8, hah atsch
Yeah, they changed it because of the Giants game and Barry Bonds. I think the 2 point deductions and the 2 non-KD's led to the quitting more than anything else... he never looked hurt. He was constantly being yelled at by the ref. I don't think he ever had a chance in this fight, but ****, it was a horrible fight to watch because of the ref and the bull****.
You're right about point deductions, imo, and certainly about the second KD, which was CLEARLY not a knockdown. The first KD, however, I thought was a bit ambiguous. He was hit with a punch and then went through the ropes, at least that's the way it looked to me. Anyway, the ref did seem to be too tough on him. But like you, I thought he was well on his way to loosing anyway. I only tuned in in the third round - thanks ESPN!! - and he lost every round I saw.
