i'd rather watch paint dry than read another one of your chin analysis posts. football>>>>paint drying>>>>your analysis. :good
gee watching 6 plus footers bouncing a ball around back and fourth all day :dead :dead :dead unbelievable. no tactics just follow the guy with the ball score....then do it again in the other direction. football is like boxing for me it is a tactical game now and some clubs have highly exciting games who use an incredibly aggrssive game plan (brentford, palma,b.munich) but will get exploited by more counter-winging teams (chelsea, barca, villa) also the few amount of knockdowns(goals) in a match. sadly the only player the states has is becks...which is surprising since he was just a good out of a great few. who is that american 'allstar' donavan i think it is. i like cricket...anyone with me on this underappreicted game.

i also love when my girlfriend says "whos winning im kinda impressed by ryan sidebottom. pretty tall lad and only now has he had a chance to shine since freddy has been out. just seems to overthrow it now.
indeed sidearse has looked very impressive. when he got back in the team last spring in favourable conditions against a horrible west indian side i did think, yeah decent performance but looks a horses for courses type of guy. but he's proven to be much more than that and seems to have a superb bowling brain. by far our best bowler at the moment. he's just got two quick wickets against the kiwis up at OT. lovely stuff. some cricket threads pop up in the lounge every now and then. always worth a look, few of the lads (scurla, jimbo, sandman, enquirer) know their stuff.
Give me rugby over soccer any ****ing day,BUT take a look at the number of peole who watch and play the sport so obviously its popular.I do like it to be honest,it can be boring, but then so can any sport one cares to mention, for me american sports like baseball and american football are just to stats heavy and slow, though i used to enjoy AF seeing as how its come from rugby somewhere down the line in terms of contact and the shape of the ball. Serioulsy though, that penalty shootout was ****ing exciting as any thing ivie ever seen in sport, the drama and heart break of the miss by john terry was sport at both its finest and cruelst, and you would be hard pressed to find to many other sporting occasions that could top that imo.
Football (soccer) is a game I have to have some emotional attatchment to enjoy, in other words I'd only watch my team. It's the adrenaline and tense nature that does it. I'd never sit around watching any shite like Bolton vs. Fulham, like some people. Like boxing, it helps the excitement if its an attacking game... Cricket is underapprecited, people write it off before they've even given it a chance because play is slow paced and it is difficult (or rather takes time for the lazy ****s) to understand. The beauty is in the intricacies of it I don't enjoy Egg chasing at all, ****ing hated it at school, I'd run in front of everyone to avoid that ball. Too much brute force not enough finesse for my liking Can't comment on American sports, rarely watched them enough to make an informed opinion - except to say I find it gay how they wear pads in Football. Basketball was fun at school though, until I got too short
