Woah, Morales really took Pacquaio to school back in 2005

Yep, decimating Morales twice afterwards (and actually causing Erik to opt out rather than stand up to him in their third encounter) clearly makes him Pacs nemesis :huh

Morales was coming of the Raheem disaster, but still; Pac clearly got the better of their series, despite Morales fighting a blinder in the first fight (with Winning taking the sting off of Pacs assaults ;-))

Marquez...well, yeah, he's Pacmans nemesis, much in the way De Jesus was Durans....certain peeps have just got the style to trouble great fighters, even if said great fighter can beat better fighters more impressively.

Four instance, Floyd, who will get whitewashed if he ever mans up and faces Pac.

Marquez is the best fighter Pacquiao has faced, simple as that.

A controversial split decision win over Marquez >>>>>>> easy UD's over non punching, let's have a shag Clottey/Mosley or dancing around Margarito

Thats my favorite fight to watch. Action from Rd 1 - 12 and great perfomance from Erik. Going southpaw for the 12th was class.

Hmmm.... there's not a lot to choose between the two, other than the obvious, that Barrera was far less suited to fighting Pacquiao than Marquez, or Morales, for that matter.

Neither Barrera/Pacquiao fight was particularly competitive, especially the second fight throughout which Barrera was seemingly content not to get stopped.

Exactly, hence why it's such an amazing win (the 1st of course)

I never said Marquez wasn't better suited for fighting Pac....but then, neither did you in your original post ;-)

I stand by it: Barrera is the best fighter Pac has ever faced, and was on a tear at the time.

  7. Ha ha moe, I get what ya mean after our twit chat!

Back on point though, Marquez caused PAC more problems than any other fighter has since he began fighting at top level.

Moe, oh moe. How I've missed you.

Paup snith still rules although Paul smith would ko the **** outta him!
    Know what I mean geeza?

:nono Smigga wants nuttin to do with Paup!

Both of them appear to be ducking Lucky Sambo, who is clearly edging the 30-fight series with Paup and apparently handled Smigga in sparring :deal :hey

he was never the same after that round.

  10. Moe, "four" instance. You crack me the **** up laaa!

I was obviously hasty with calling morales his nemesis. However I would stick to my guns with the Marquez shout. Those guys could fight 10 times and both of the are capable of winning the series via whitewash, whereas PAC could fight cotto for the next 10 years and cotto would never come anywhere close to PAC. I've never liked the a beats b so must beat c because c lost to b etc stuff because anyone can have their "night". When looking at fights I try to be logical in terms of styles and previous form of a fighter eg does he gas, can he fight on the inside if fighting a guy with a class jab etc.
But having said that, take out all if the intangibles and sometimes Overall "better" fighter may well lose to someone however many times they fight due to intangibles funnily enough. But I think a lot of it is psycological.
Marquez would give PAC problems at any point in his career. Even now x

Still the only man to be DQ'd for an 'low blow'; where he wrenched his dong free from his pants and K.O'd his opponent with a 'hook'.

:think How did you know? :D
