Mannys workrate will do Floyd in, and his angles will make Floyds defensive radar go on the blink. Floyd is quality with fast, crisp shots (right hand, jab, sporadic with left hook) but Pac has a proven chin and I think he can come through this, use his fast feet to track Floyd down (expecting it, unlike the Mosley fight) and outwork Floyd throughout to win a clear points decision and leave everyone going 'so that's how he looks when he fights ATG opposition' ;-)

As for his vaunted defence, I prefer it when fighters prove it against 'Elite' offensive opposition. Floyd has turned down a lot of big challenges in this respect. Margarito couldve done for his reputation what Paul Fuji did for Locches, or Palomino did for Benitezs.

His opposition, by the standards set by many ATG fighters, is....well, not on the league of anyone in my top 50.

I've used my eyes and seen more complete fighters put on AS clinical displays against better opposition. Floyd is a very, very good fighter, but not special IMO, and there aren't many fights out there for him where he can show me otherwise before he calls it a day.

I'm not the biggest Pacquiao fan, and to be honest if it wasn't for some of the rabid Floyd fanboys on here (mainly the general) I probably wouldn't be that fussed either way for him really.

I just think Floyd's career above lightweight leaves a lot to be desired, fact is, he's never taken the most dangerous challenges at the right time. He was offered $8m to fight Margarito in 2006, and took Baldomir instead, on the basis that ''nobody has heard of him'' (irony I'm sure here :hey)

I don't have any doubt that Mayweather would have schooled him, Floyd has better legs than Cotto, which was basically the difference between Cotto winning a relatively clear decision or losing by stoppage. But he didn't take the fight.

He didn't fight Cotto after the Hatton fight, when Cotto was hot property after tearing Zab a new arsehole and winning a great fight with Mosley. Again, I'd have expected Floyd to win.

Pacquiao himself isn't exempt from criticism. He dragged Morales down to 130 for the third fight (which didn't really need to happen anyway) and cherrypicked Diaz instead of facing Marquez for a 3rd time immediately after the BS decision in 2008.

He fought Cotto at 145 instead of 147, and should probably have stopped at least one of Clottey, Margarito and Mosley.

It would be interesting to make a list of relevant fighters who they didn't face and why the fights didn't happen (or why we believe that's the case) - I'm sure the difference would be marked.

 

They are he's a tremendous boxer it's just my opinion which i stand by
