In a video that I found on Sherdog, Dana White said that if GSP beat Penn, then Georges will have to face Anderson ''The Spider'' Silva.:happy :happy :happy

It sucks for Alves, but hey, thats the biggest fight that can happen.

(I don't care about the fact that GSP didnt beat BJ Penn yet, just think at the scenario that a GSP's win would make.)

So, would it be the biggest fight in UFC history like I think???

Who would takes it in your opinion???

Does it annoy you these matchup who arent good for the division???

I'm not sure what Dana's obsession is with having fighters never defend their belt in their weight class. Between having half his champions on TUF for six months, and people jumping weightclasses, we rarely ever get to see a good, old-fashioned title defense.

Holy **** ! if it actually happens , it'll be the first time since 2004 that Anderson will be facing a guy with a very solid sub background. (only difference Chonan is too inconsistent to be concidered on the same caliber as gsp)...

so this should be very interesting...I've got nothing against Penn , but i'm now personally rooting for gsp to win because it would be awesome to see anderson vs gsp too...

I do think GSP has the style and all the tools to end Silva's domination, but we cant overlook that one big assett of GSP is that he is always stronger than his opponent...I don't think he would be vs Silva who is a really strong man according to Rich Franklin

As talented as GSP is,...and as physically big and strong as he is at welterweight...I still don't see GSP being able to deal with a bigger and more overall talented Anderson Silva at this point.

    But I wanna see it.

screw the title defenses. I want superfights. the rest of the fighters will sort themselves out in the meantime. whenever the champion returns to the division - or leaves it behind - the top fighter will emerge to challenge for the crown.

GSP is a hell of a great fighter but Silva just fought at 205 a couple months back. GSP has been at 170. The size difference is big. I'd give GSP a good shot it though and would be tuning in for sure.
