Combat sports especially ones like boxing where the objective is bash other people with your fists is kind of distasteful. Boxing is awesome, but it's a guilty pleasure. We love it, it's incredible, but it's brutal.

Is it even more distasteful when women are participating? That's the question we should be asking.

Certainly I was stronger than the women I sparred against, that was expected, but I can't say I was any tougher. To me, the difference was in quickness. Women, in my chauvinistic opinion, simply don't have the fast twitch muscles than men have and certainly are less athletic. I have to admit that there aren't any women's sports that I care to watch.

The only women's sport I have ever cared to watch is Olympic Gymnastics, but it's been over 20 years since I've bothered even watching that.

X2. Adams and Taylor are great examples of how good female boxers can be in 2017. Unfortunately they're still on the whole lacking in quality opponents.

The other prob they have is that women's sport simply isn't as exciting as the men's and so will always draw less of an audience. I mean, women play football all over the world at a good standard and I still couldn't give a **** about the women's world cup final.

Yeah I'd agree with that also..I think if the Rhonda Rousey movement had taken place say 5 or so years earlier we would have seen these two turn pro at their peak

MMA female fighters for instance, at the higher levels pretty much
show the same skillsets as their male counterparts, Boxing,
    not so much.

The only female boxer I've ever been
impressed with was Lucia Rjyker. Even Ann Wolfe wasn't all that
impressive if you've seen more than a couple of her fights.
and I won't even start on Laila Ali.

Females should stay in the kitchen. Boxing is good for them for self defence, but don't want to see them fighting. Being beautiful is enough for women, there are no reason to get black eye to ruin it.

I respect women but they are physically inferior to men when it comes to sports, that is a biological fact. It's like gorillas being stronger than men. You are not putting down men by saying that, it's just a fact.

However, if their skill was good enough, women's boxing might be watchable, but for some reason, their skill level is vastly inferior to men.

So you get physically inferior athletes as well as a much lower skill level. It's unwatchable.

A revival would indicate that there was a time when female boxing was popular. It's always been a niche sport at best.

It's interesting to see the females in the UFC gain so much attention and popularity, so who knows. Maybe if these female boxers are REALLY skilled, than maybe they can build a following. I have my doubts though since I've never seen a female championship boxer and think to myself that they have skills on par with a male champion. They're usually ocean's apart in terms of skillsets.

This post sounds like it was written by a boy whose father abandoned him.
