Hey guys it's been a while! How hard is it to get girl fights and how hard is it to get them to hang together once ya got one. I train Sarah O'Connell these days and a better hard training boxer I haven't had. She does all that is asked of her and then some, a real pleasure to train. We have had 5 opponents pull out in the last 6 weeks from fights, one for the Aust title and the rest for different fights across Australia. It's got to the point that I have to send her overseas to try and get a bout. Anyone got a girl between 55 Kgs and 60 Kgs looking for a fight please contact me.
Its hard mate. Ive got a 65 kg girl, and even as a 1 fight novice its hard to get her another fight, so shes fighting the same girl again, then she'll have to give away some experience to get the ring time i guess.
I have a couple of girls who fight under the ABA. 20 yo 54kg with 8 fights, 16 yo 57-60 8 fights, 25 52kg no fights. There are others I know of from other gyms. Rod, PM me if you want more info. Cheers
Something about women boxing doesn't sit right with me , probably me being a bit old fashion but two ladies attempting to smash eachothers faces in just seems wrong .
Lucky Josey was'nt around in the 60s and drafted to go to Vietnam , woulda had to lose them old fashioned values very quickly before some 45 kg waif dressed in black with a AK put a million holes in that welsh noggin.
Thanks Catch22, it's a Pro fighter I'm trying to get. I never thought I'd be training a waif myself but times are certainly changing.
Ain't knocking it mate just don't float my boat & my bad I thought it was a tread on women boxing I didn't realise you were match making . :good
