    cause boxing is already as niche as it gets.
    What a tiny audience they would receive if not for piggybacking on main cards.

    Only friends & family would show up & they are probably fighting to feed them ... They wouldn’t survive.

    let them eat fellars.

    I like women's boxing, gives me time to take a leak, make a cup of tea and get some fresh air without worrying I've missed anything on the card

    I don't mind it, whether it's a man or a woman to me it's just another boxer to me. But I get why some guys can't get into it, they just can't separate the idea of what women should be according to society ie, feminine, dainty, sexual objects etc with the reality, it's a clash of two very different things that in their minds shouldn't mix.

    Only issue I have with women's boxing is often the quality is poor and even when you have a good female boxer often the opponent is trash even at the top level. There simply isn't the depth of talent and quality in women's boxing. Though that might change over time.

    Its not "society's idea", its reality. Compared to the average man, these female boxers are feminine, dainty, small. They don't have the testosterone or aggression of a male, or even a smaller male.

    Even if that's true why should that preclude them from boxing? There was a time women and the idea of competitive sport of any kind was looked down upon, the idea women shouldn't box is really just an extension of that. To me it's just an outdated way of thinking.

    Why is it outdated? We watch boxing to see the best of the best test themselves against each other. The best woman fighter could never beat a journeyman level male fighter in her weight class, in fact she might actually die. Its the same in every sport. Its scientifically proven women are inferior athletes.

    It's out dated because your basing your view solely on gender when gender is irrelevant in regard to women's boxing as a sport by itself, it's not like we are asking women to box against men, that's something nobody would want to watch. We're watching women compete vs women where this is an equal playing field. Now the quality not may be as good as men's boxing and yes that's a reason not to watch the sport much like I don't watch plenty of journeymen fight journeymen because the quality is poor.

    In all sports there are participants better than others does that mean they shouldn't be given a platform to compete? Should football in anything other than top leagues not be given a platform? Should disabled athletes not be given a platform because they can't match able bodied athletes? Should every division below heavyweight be scrapped because these smaller less manly boxers would lose to most heavyweights? Should women's tennis lose their platform and the WTA stripped because they can't compete with men, even though it's a sport that makes over a hundred million every year in revenue?

    Simply basing your point of view on the fact they can't fight as well as men doesn't make sense when so many other sports allow inferior athletes a platform. So I'd argue that isn't even the real reason not to watch it, it's simply an excuse for an outdated societal belief.

    Almost nobody wants to see it, so why is it being pushed on us? Its an inferior product. Not to mention the level of skill compared to men is a complete joke.
