clue: i was a world champion (lightly regarded of course)......but maybe the belts i were refering to might not be a WORLD title

Palmer beat Jack O'Malley taking both L/H and H/W crowns of Australia on the same night. Palmer was playing VFL Football in 1938, went away with the lads on a footy trip and recieved notice to fight Gus Lesnevich.

Two weeks of training and Palmer took Gus 15 rounds. Ambrose had not fought in 8 months. His prior victory being the KO of Ron Richards, the same Richards who pelted Gus Lesnevich 6 weeks earlier.

thanks for that good little read but sadly no.

i won 2 belts in 2 different weight divisions on 1 night
lost a number of times before but only lost once in my local area.
i maybe most known for being knocked out by a phenom of that persons time. for that person i lost to he went on to break a world record afterwards.

if you want more clues ask

ok he won a world title but later on he did this achievement of unifying 2 weight divisions of a regional title.

my opponent who i beat was a return match and of polish extraction.

ok **** it the phenom was "mike tyson", that should help.

    orlin norris ?

i add the question mark, cause if his opponent was polish, and it was a regional title..then he's maybe a european, right ?
