    I held a world title by koing the champion in one round..Short time later I
    was also ko'd in the first rd and lost my title...Get it over with I say!
    Who was I ?

    you're smarter than me fellas....it hurts sometimes...

    jimmy mcclaren beat young corbett in the 1st round to win the welterweight title, right ?...but who did corbett win it from?...wondering if it was a one round win...

    You betcha,M, al Singer it is..i never got out of the first round either.
    Singer won the lightweight title from sammy Mandell July,1930 and a
    short time later he was also kod in the first round by the great Tony
    Canzoneri,Nov.,1930...New yorkers at the time thought he was the "new" Benny Leonard,as was Ruby Goldstein, but Benny Leonard was one of a kind, and they broke the mould for Leonard.:good

    He took it from Jackie Fields, a ten round decision. I have that fight and it's ****ing awesome.
