    Today i am forgotten, but in my time I was one tough S.O.B. who beat everyone out there except one immortal, but I persevered and became a champion after 14 years...i was so short my feet hardly reached the vanvas.
    I am ?...

    luf, U nailed it . Rocky Kansas at 5ft2" was a sawed off version of Rocky Marciano,who after 14 years in the ring beating every top lightweight of note,won the lightweight title from Jimmy Goodrich in 1925. He lost his title soon after to the clever Sammy Mandell ,and soon retired.

    Where it not for the great Benny Leonard, I feel Kansas would have been a champion sooner.

    Without a doubt. Kansas already whipped Johnny Dundee, Lew Tendler, Charley White, Richey Mitchel, Freddy Welsh etc. No one on ESB should forget the HIGH regard Benny Leonard was held to by his boxing peers. Benny Leonard was to the lightweight division what Ray Robinson was to the welterweight division. Peerless..,.
