Arguably won the fight but didn't. You don't put "questionable loss" on a resume. A w is a w and an l is an l.

Cotto also had a much stronger resume than Clottey. Clottey's biggest win is Zab Judah for the love of all that is holy.

Stylistically Cotto had things to potentially bother Pac. Clottey doesn't.

It's the best they could come up with on short notice but it is not an interesting fight.

Remember, Arum pulled himself out of the Mayweather negotiations early and left it to Todd Du Boef to handle. Many of the quotes from Arum were phone quotes from like the Bahamas or something, wherever he was vacationing.

Politically, Arum had to make a quick break and get a fight. Pac was getting thrashed by the media and fans for refusing to take 100% random drug tests. The longer the negotiations got dragged out, the more Pac's name would have gotten dragged thru the mud.

Sad this along look the moment things looked rough in the Mayweather-Pacquiao talks Arum stated he would offer the fight to Yuri Foreman or Paulie Malignaggi. Few days later he gives it to Joshua Clottey. Arum didnt want that fight he already has enough money and didnt wanna risk Pacquiao getting destroyed or the scam being offically exposed so he matches Pac up with another Top Rank fighter. Mayweather isnt to blaim Bob Arum is to blaim as he is in many cases. Why do you think the FBI raided his office ? The guy is a POS.

Anybody thinking straight understands that this is exactly what happened here.Pacquiao was not going to agree to random testing either because of fear of being caught as a cheat, or because 14 days would not give him time to recover:as his B.S. stated after Morales loss. Pacquiao & the unSmokable Roach thought they could get Merryweather to sign without Random testing because of Mayweathers money problems. When Floyd saw the hesatation he knew something was going on ,an innocent man would not be afraid of a small tiny bit of blood to be drawn if he was clean so Floyd stuck to it ..Arum the scum saw what was happening & got The Unsmokable Roach & Pacquiao the hell ouy of negotiations. It`s ****ing sickening ,hopefully later this year PFM & MP fight, but would not be suprised if Pacquiao won`t agree to testing & he won`t beat Floyd clean.............

Clottey all but knew he had the fight in the tail end of 2009. Arum's the lowest of the low.

Yes there is. We all wanted Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. Now instead we have Pac on PPV against a guy who's coming off a loss to a guy he just destroyed. There's a lot to complain about here.

Ya'll must have forgot. March 13 is a must-fight for pacquiao because he still has an electoral campaign to worry about right after. if its was any fighter, **** it he won't fight till after the elections but pac still found it to give fans a fight before he plunges into the campaign.

that said, pac needs an opponent as fast as possible. No he can't wait too long on the floyd deal, time is running out. Clottey is the best one available so we have a fight

    I disagree.

PAc vs PBF being off is one thing. We all wanted that fight.

Pac-Clottey is another thing and its a good fight for any REAL boxing fan.

    Pac-Clottey AND PBF-Mosley is better.

Complain as much as you want...

Edit: Oh, and PBF-Pac will happen later...
