That is a shocker...had to happen eventually though. That age and that amount of mileage is just about unheard of at that weight range..and to think he stayed at the same weight the whole time. What a little legend.
That's a tough one Flea. I think this one would've come down to raw macho Thai bravado and grit and cos of his era maybe Chitalada takes it. I know it's a bit of a kop out to say it comes down to grit of era, but you know how tough they made em in the 80s in Thailand.
Indeed I do and Sot fought some serious punchers in his two title reigns as well. I actually started a thread on it in the Classic in the end, feel free to dip into it and use it as a forum to talk about any aspect of Thai's, I've used it as a forum to shout about how great Venice Borkhorsor was (again) ;-)
Thanks Flea, I'll check it out, but I've got to say you're encyclopedic knowledge of the Asian fight game is second to none. I'm well impressed, I hope you're appreciated on this forum, cos you're a rarity! :thumbsup
You're too kind Sir! I still have a lot to learn, which is why I'm happy you've showed up! :deal And I have my detractors, but was voted the British Forum Poster of the Year this past December, so I certainly feel cherished Thanks again, and keep giving me info' :yep
Wonjongkam looked abysmal from literally the first few seconds into the fight. Wasn't there, deserved to be low blowed for disappointing a longtime fan
