I don't see why the boxing powers that be don't try to make this mega flyweight matchup happen.

I think this fight would be pretty damn interesting, and probably really entertaining to the casual viewer.

I see this as a vintage, master boxing veteran vs world class powerful young fighter.

But I think Wonjongkam pulls out one last great victory, with most likely a skin of his teeth decision after much adversity.

    P. Wonjongkam SD12 G. Segura

Before too many call me crazy, lets not forget, I picked Wonjongkam MD Kameda, before it happened last year.

    Thoughts?

Yea, I picked Pong, but Segura always has that one punch change the fight power, so if Pong did manage to get ahead on the cards, I'd be nervous till the final bell sounds thats for sure.

Segura is a pretty good crowding fighter. It's just the natural foil to Pong's style. And he's younger, faster, harder punching. Don't get it wrong, Pong can pull it off for sure but I see the cards stacked against him this time. I also rate Segura pretty highly, i think he's a strong fighter.

    Wonjonkam winning every round

Segura is only good if he has a very significant size advantage to bully his opponent. He wont have that against the Thai.

Segura TKO - age and styles on his side

I absolutely believe this is one of the best fights in all of boxing (between fighters within 1 weight class).

What in his career leads you to that conclusion? Or just random hypothesis?

would be a good fight for sure. I'm on the fence, but would slightly favor Segura.

Hmm I dunno. Segura is basically a mini-Margarito and I dunno who has a similar style to Pong. I think Segura might just pull it out.

No disrespect to Segura, but Pong is a different kettle of fish than a reflexively deteriorated Calderon. This is just a matter of different levels.
