Middleweight, Garth Wood has been forced to pull out of his August 31 bout with Johannes Mwetupunga on the Geale vs Albert undercard in Tasmania.

The pair was supposed to be fighting for the IBF Asia-Pacific Title as well as for the Australian Title but after Garth suffered a cut during the week in sparring he was forced to pull out.

    More information to come.

A pity for Wood. It was an opportunity that's now gone begging.

Regardless of what else he does or doesn't do in his career, he'll always be remembered as the Aussie nobody who humiliated Anthony Mundine.
