Good double-header set for 12th April in Florida.

Hopefully the winners will fight each other to step closer towards a unified light heavyweight division!

Who among you thinks that whoever remains out of these 4 (assuming the winners fight eachother regardless of who the winners are) has a better claim to being the #1 light heavy than the hopkins-calzaghe winner?

dawson is the only one from the four who can come close. if by some miracle he doesn't come out on top then the winner of hopkins-calzaghe is without doubt number 1 in the division imo.

Dawson, if he wins, will fight Diaconu next if he wants to keep the belt. He might fight Tarver next, but it would be a shame/waste. He should fight Hopkins if the latter is kind enough to give Dawson a resume win.:D

Good card. Isn't Erdei and Green in talks to unify the other belts aswel? LH is shaping up to have an exciting year ahead.

That's a great card by Showtime.

This is a stellar card and a great step in the 175-pound division!

I expect and hope that Dawson and Woods will prevail, eliminating Tarver and Johnson from contention for good and setting up a unification for later this year.

Diaconu fans should prepare themselves for their man to be left without a shot. If Dawson wins, he'll probably skip the mandatory and take the bigger money on Showtime in the fall. He needs to act quickly if he hopes to reel in a big name among the older guys.

I love Lacy, but I think Tarver/Woods is a better fight for the division. My preference would be for the winner of these two fights to get a shot at Calzaghe, and all have earned this chance (well, maybe not Tarver, but he's name), whereas Lacy probably won't accomplish much at 175.
