Wow! I have never seen Edison so quiet. Man, I guess he is staying focused for this fight. He is not his talking all the smack he usually does.

With training camp well underway for his June 21st rematch with Arthur Abraham, some have suggested that super middleweight contender Edison Miranda has been uncharacteristically quiet before the biggest fight of his career. Not so, says 'Pantera'. "Oh, I've been talking," laughed Miranda from his training camp in San Juan, Puerto Rico. "Every day I hit the heavy bag, I'm calling Abraham's name out and with each punch. That's the goal. Do what I did the last time, and improve on it by finishing the job. Abraham won't hear the final bell on June 21st." In their first bout in September of 2006, Miranda broke Abraham's jaw in two places before losing a controversial 12 round decision. This time, Miranda vows revenge. "I've never been this focused for a fight," said Miranda. "My only concern is that because this is Abraham's first fight in the US, after I knock him out people will think I just took out a nobody. That's okay though, people will always remember him as the guy on my highlight reel." Arthur Abraham vs Edison Miranda II, a 12 round super middleweight attraction, headlines a night of professional boxing presented by Seminole Warriors Boxing and Sauerland Event. Showtime World Championship Boxing will televise this highly-anticipated rematch from Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida beginning at 9pm ET/PT. Tickets for Abraham-Miranda II, priced at $202, $152, $102, and $52 are now on sale and may be purchased at the Hard Rock Live Box Office or TicketMaster.com.

I'm hoping Miranda gets the victory in this one, but I'm not certain. Anybody think Miranda will have trouble making weight for the fight?

this is a good fight for Miranda. I'm glad that he's focused, because a loss would be a massive setback in his career. The only asterisk on this fight imo is that Miranda is making Abraham move up in weight to fight him.

Miranda will be seriously weight drained just like in his middleweight days, for a guy who walks around at 195lbs even making 168 is unealthy.
I think Abraham would win regardless but with the fight being at 166 I lean even more toward the German.

Have you guys given any thought on the fact that the winner of Abraham-Miranda just might be the next to face Kelly Pavlik ?

Abraham if he wins will most likely face Pavlik before the end of the year in a final fight at 160 to unify the titles in the States.

But....

If Miranda takes care of Abraham and ruins those plans...I think Pavlik just might be sent back with him in a fight at 168 on HBO pay per view !!

Pavlik will not stay at 160 beyond 2008 anyways and if Miranda wins...a fight with Abraham loses all interest in the US.....

Billed as .... '' PAY BACK TIME ''
MIRANDA-PAVLIK II just might be next !!!

Not if Miranda wins. Not at this point. Abraham ONLY if JC doesn't happen. Kelly and Edison are likely to meet again, but I don't think that soon. If Pav/Cal happens, then he will fight AA only if he loses. Otherwise he has the 168 belts and moves up with the hardware in hand.

There's no reason for a Pavlik/Miranda rematch. Miranda got his ass handed to him in every round but the second, and it wouldn't be any different at 168. I think it is very likely that Edison wil beat Abraham, and if he does we'll probably see Pav at 168 before the end of this year, but Miranda won't be his opponent.

what?! are you ****ing serious?! there is plenty of reason (and may I also add $) for a pavlike/miranda rematch. If edison beats abraham for the second time that puts him in a great position for a rematch oppurtunity. Or is it just because edison lost he is now ****? Cmon bro this aint no cintron we are talking about here, edison is a warrior and I would love to see him get revenge. I beleive it is possible too.

I'm a Miranda fan, but after the beat down Pavlik gave him, Kelly has bigger fish to fry, and from a strictly business perspective has no reason to fight him. Miranda may scream for it, and feel he deserves it, but the first fight wasn't even competitive, plus Miranda just hasn't done that much at 168. The other day someone said they thought a Miranda rematch might happen down the road a few years at 175. I think that is more likely than seeing one anytime this year or next year.

depends how he "loses" . .. by most accounts the first should not have been a loss.

If he loses legit, then he is still a decent draw for his fan friendly style and could easily get a TV slot on ESP facing a guy like Brian Vera, who just upset Andy Lee.

maybe he learned his lesson after all the **** he talked about Pavlik then got his ass handed to him. Pavlik took his manhood.
