Also remember that Canadian PPV numbers are not part of these US release. So whatever this did in the US, you'd have to add Canadian on top which will likely be substantial.

40K buys does not equal 40K people. There are multiple people watching per buy. House fight parties and bars have multiple audience members. Do you think that Mayweather/Pacquiao only had 4.4M people watching? I guarantee you that at least 100M people in the U.S. alone watched that fight which is on par with the Superbowl.

Should probably remember the USA isn't the only country in the world. I wonder how this did in Kazakhstan? If we're counting Ward's home country for his viewing figures surely it's only fair to do the same for GGG too?

If they can monetize that, GGG could be a huge draw! As it stands he still has a ways to go seeing as how people were hoping for closer to 350 thou in ppv.

Floyd and Berto are somewhere laughing over lobster and virgin daiquiris, I'm sure.

It was a nice try. But, casuals don't really know who these guys are. David LeWho and Gennady Ghost Golovkin should have been on regular HBO. When/if GGG ever becomes a serious PPV attraction it will likely be as the B side.

GGG did well at MSG, though. And he did OK at the Forum in Cali. So, he definitely is bringing the hard core fans out and a growing contingent of casuals.

I was part of the PPV experiment. And I have a little buyer's remorse. But, I bought Roy Jones vs BHOP 2, so, I can't feel that bad. LOL. I don't think I will hit the order button for another of GGG's unless it is against Canelo or Cotto...maybe Quillin. And if he and Ward ever fight...of course I'm buying.

False. The number HBO reports always includes Canada and the US.
